I read what is available at the moment, be it just one chapter or volumes.

Like most others have said, it depends. If it's something I really like, I read it by the chapter. If it's something I'm less enthusiastic about, I wait for a volume to be done to read it.

Weekly/whenever it get's updated.
For something like UxU though... I have to read it by volume by volume it's just way too good.
Most of the new manga's I pick up though are already in volume by volume so it's kinda awesome!

I read by chapter. I can't resist waiting until each volume or series is complete. D= If so then it would be a long suffering journey. XD
I can't resist wanting to read each new chapter released.
Lol. I just noticed that most of us don't have enough patience. XD

Chapter by chapter for sure. I read them when they're released
For some very slow releases i actually resort to raws to get a general gist. I do that for freezing because the scans are so slow and I want to know what happens
If I waited until a whole volume was released I think I would die of suspence, especially if I'm really into it

chapter by chapter, like most people who voted. Though I honestly prefer reading a series all at once or in large bursts.

I mostly do so by volume now, though there are a few exceptions where I read them by chapter.

I tend to read it right after it comes out.
But sometimes I get lazy, so it ends up accumulating to volumes by the time I get around to reading it.

i do all three, depending on the status and the speed of scanlation. mainly chapter by chapter, but prefers reading it in a batch.
ongoing - i'd read all available chaps and then read each new chp as it coems out.
complete - all at once
if its ongoing but there's only a few chps out, i'd wait for more before starting.
and if scanlation is slow, i'd wait for more before continuing.
or whenever im not busy or lazy

I am an individual who requires instant gratification; therefore, I intentionally search for series that are complete. I have been unfortunate in the past to stumble upon series that were / are still on-going (i.e., Naruto or 1/2の林檎) and I learned my lesson the hard way after I got into Ragnarok (Myung-Jin Lee) when it first came out. If you don't know the story, he decided to (indefinitely) put the manga on hold to create his online world of Ragnarok--jerk! (Now I have 10 books of a story that does not end...what a waste of space!)
It is the most painful thing for me to have to wait for the next release--Naruto is not bad since they release each week, but for series like Half an Apple, I have to wait 3 freaking months, and it pisses me off.
I also refuse to buy anime / manga in pieces (or in English for that matter). I will wait for box sets and the graphic novels to come out before I spend my money.

Usually I only start manga that is completely scanlated, I've already got to much stuff on my reading and hold list. And I hate waiting for releases, because then I have to re-read the story every time there is a release to remember what's going on. So I chose the third option.
If I've started something that is not completely scanlated I usually wait for 2-3 chapters of releases, instead of reading every chapter release. Of course there are always acceptations, and some series I adore so much that I can't wait for 2-3 chapters to collect.
