The setting was in medieval era, i think it was in france

the mc was a brown colour skin man(not try to be racist here), i think he was from africa or maybe brazil , i really forgot his origin, basically he have dark skin colour.

He moved out to france , i forgot why, i think he was either a slave that forced to go to war there or he just moved to france to adventuring and get a better life.

so basically he fall in love with a noble girl , he was very beautiful. He try his hardest to court her, people mock her. Telling his status that he was even below commoner , he's trying the immposible.

The girl family then gives him a very difficult task, first to get a noble status , and give her a great amout of gold as the wedding gift. The man managed to do all the task and married her. The noble girl was pitying her and agreed to marry him.

Time skip for some years, the noble girl giving birth around 3-4 children, some of them have dark skin like his father, some have a beautiful blonde and white skin like their mother(it is weird, their mother and father have dark hair, she did not cheat on him ok, she was royal at this time)

Many noble man actually want to sleep with mc wife, but all of them are failed because mc protected her. The france king try to rape her , but mc then protected him , but he made enemy to the france king.

Well with all that, mc was quite popular, many france commoner respect him, for him to become a noble when he was ex slave, below commoner status, especially when he was not from france with that dark skin. He also rule his domain with good care, and also have some noble friend from powerful family that like his kind and hard working nature.

so in the end, mc found out his wife been sleeping with the duke from his back, he was so sad. The wife also feels guilty, but the duke then say out loud, mc can't protect her. He will protect her in his place, and asked him to divorce his wife and tell him to fuck off, yes he tell him he will take care of mc wife and children. His wife ? just crying and try to avoid the duke, and then admit she marry mc because of pity and his tenacity to propose on her.

what happened to our dear mc ? did he kill his wife ? no, he still love him greatly. He then getting a gun, asking the duke to get a gun duel. The duke was shocked and tell him he regret all of it and tell mc to calm down and talk it down . He also tell mc he can't win, because the duke was a veteran soldier who win many gun duel, while mc is still amateur.

mc still challenged him and tell him he will kill his wife if he refused, then the duke agree. I think the duke decided to shoot his leg or hand to calm him down. When they count to 1-10, at count down of 5, mc cheat. He turn his back and make a shooting pose , trying to shoot the duke. The duke hear the mc did not count the number, and turned his back, panicked he shoot the mc in the stomach , thinking mc will shoot him.

MC then falls down, he then smiling, I WIN hahahahaha. The duke was confused, then he realized, the wife, and some people come to the duel area(they was dueling in secret). They bring mc to the doctor, but the doctor say he can't cure him, the bullet hit his vital and he will die in few hours.

His wife keep crying and regret all of her action, mc then caress her head, smiling saying it is okay. He then tell his last will to his wife. He say " i will die soon, please take care of our children, i am sorry i can't be with you, after i die, i will allow you to marry with another man". Then he passed away with her wife crying. There is a scene where mc soul left his body, then there is a beautiful woman with dark skin who smiled and lend her hand to mc. MC then take her hand and goes to heaven together, i forgot who the woman was, either it was his deceased lover or his family.

What about the duke ? all citizens of france was enraged that he kills the mc and asked the duke to be executed. They don't know about his affair with his wife i think, they just mad that he kill a great man like mc. MC also left a message to the france king saying he was sorry for all trouble he have done to the king, and the king say he accept it. MC then become a legend, his name was recorded in history as great man along with his good deeds.'

The duke did not get executed but he got exiled from france for 15 years i think. He already have wife. His wife know about his affair, she got sick and die without giving birth to his children. The duke never married or courted any woman in his exile. He miss mc wife. After his exile was over, he go to france and saw a beautiful woman resemble his wife was walking with a man.

He then noticed she have dark skin, suddenly a woman voice coming from behind saying " she was my daughter with mc you know , she really resemble me , she already have a fiancee"

The duke was surpised, it was the mc wife. After 15 years she still looks beautiful. He then try to approach her but the wife then say don't , our relation ship is over, i can't betray my deceased husband, i also married with a man who was a noble and mc best friend, He really take a good care for me.

The duke then laughed and say ah yeah , i remember when mc die, he was the one who crying the most and punching my face non stop before i got exiled. The wife then smiled and the duke so it is over huh for both of us, and the wife say yes, and tell him that she will taking her leave, his husband seems searching for her. She then say goodbye, i hope we won't ever meet again.

The duke then was really sad, he then remember the very image of the mc, who want to shoot him in the gun duel. He remember cleary the mc eyes , is full of raging fire yet so calm, and it was a mistake shooting him. He found out mc gun was not loaded with ammo, and he planned his death to destroy his life(basically his reputation ruined by killing a great man, his wife dead, and losing his beloved mc wife, he got nothing , he lost everything and realized he will live a life full with regret.

btw the france king did not touch mc wife after mc dead, because if people found out that he try to approach mc wife, people will mad at him and it will destroy his reputation especially when he already have wife too. It become harder for the france king when the wife married with mc best friend, he was one of his best generals and touching his wife is not a good idea. In the end the france king caught in some nasty plot by someone and hated by his people, he then drinking poison and commiting suicede.

yes that's it i was really writing an essay huh, this was a shoujo manga, so the manga was kinda shoujou-ish like the "princess" manga which filled with politics and betrayal.
