Now what makes an anime?
Has anyone ideas how to best word the options for such a poll? Submit them here:

I´ll do it if no one can be found but I don´t have the best way to approach this yet.
CG anime like the 3 Resident Evil films are anime but you know... and what about Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within? Is it less of an "anime" than Advent Children?
Productions like Animaniacs, Clone Wars or Legend of Korra had some eps outsourced to Japan for animation.
Shows like Star Wars Resistance that was fully animated by Polygon under contract but it wasn´t advertised as anime.
Co-productions like Time Jam: Valerian & Laureline, Highlander: The Search for Vengeance or the CG Starship Troopers. Stuff like Maya the Honey Bee also somewhat fits here.
Anime that were specifically done for the foreign market like G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 or Street Fighter Alpha: Generations.
Cartoons like Castlevania that are called anime by the media/their production companies but they technically don´t meet the required criteria due to not being done by Japanese people/companies.
And what about the predominantly CG films from Hollywood like Alita: Battle Angel or Speed Racer that clearly adapt their source material in a recognizable way. Argh... when even is anime?
Good luck coming up with a descending order.
Edit: What else needs to be considered? Japanese VR attractions (GitS: Arise has one) and CG attractions like Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D come to mind.
Transformers had seasons that were done just for the US by the Japanese teams which lead to different Gen 1 related canons in Japan and the US.
We also have canon changing recuts like Robotech or Voltron and the extreme example of Warriors of the Wind. Thx Harvey Weinstein.
