I really like Heptagon....but I don't get it! lol. I'm really slow I guess, and I was jus confused which part really happend and what didnt...is the dude alive? did she change her past? I don't really know if her sister was planning to go to eisei high....cuz she didnt she went to N high school. i get the hat reference...which makes me even more confused lol. like i just wish i could read someone's analysis on this whole manga so my heart could be at rest.

Okay *Warning* spoilers. 
and a very very long post...
I'll sum the story up basically, in the way the story unfolds. I'll explain some things as I go but most explanations follow after.
The present Nana is going to be refered to as 24Nana (24 year old Nana) and past Nana is going to be 14Nana.
Essentially the 24Nana in the beginning is like a walking zombie. No life, no dreams - doesn't even listen to other people talking.
Later, it is revealed that she did not cry when having the water splashed on her because she was "grown up" (represented by 'make up'). So she did have emotions but it is distant to her.
When Azusa shouted at her for being a "boyfriend stealer", that clicked a memory in her past, when a key dropped on the floor, that clicked as well, and when she got hit by the truck, she went back into the past - something like a 'second chance', and perhaps the time capsule she buried in her past is related as well.
As a kid again 24Nana doesn't remember any of her childhood invovling Hiroaka and her Sis. So~ simply 24Nana remembers what her 14 yr old self was like, and what happened.
The 'Original' past:
- 14Nana is weak and naiive (can't blame her
).
- 14Nana didn't have great grades.
- 14Nana looks up to her Sis too much - literally idolizes her.
- Her Sis tells her to find out the Vice Basketball captain's name (HIroaka)
- With a sense of duty and eager to please attitude, she tries very hard to find out.
- During the process 14Nana falls in love with him.
- He falls in love with her too.
- He taught her not to see herself to be inferior to her sis.
- Yukino and Sato chan (her b-friends) Knows that 14Nana loves him.
- 14Nana hides this fact from Sis because she doesn't want to appear cunning.
- The girls in her basketball team finds out and bullies her
- 14Nana doesn't want to get hurt anymore
- Claims that Hiroaka and her sis is going out
- Hiroaka asks 14Nana to go to Fairwell Party, she rejects him.
- 14Nana finds out later (same day) that Hiroaka is moving to Kyushu
- 14Nana also finds out that Hiroaka went home by foot because he lost his bike keys
- 14Nana finds his bike keys and chases after him.
- She finds him in the middle of the road and he tells her to throw the key to him and she does....and he gets ran over by a truck. IN front of her eyes.

When she was 24 yrs old in the accident, her school was being demolished...and the time capsules of her year group disappeared as well...
The reason to the disappearence of the time capsule is because of Nana's hope coming true. You can interpret this in different ways - one way to see it could be that 'a wish came true' so its like a one time wish fulfiller.
The thing that doesn't make sense is that the 24-year-old her doesn't remember that Hiroaka is alive...What i mean is that the past is changed but the present Nana doesn't remember her changed past.
Last thing is that I dont dont get the Hat reference ....

ahh ahh thank you thank you! man, when you were explaining i felt my self going threw the pages all over again. wow, such a nicely done story, i kinda guessed some things but the main part i missed is that 24nana forged her own memory, and thats why what she was thinking was different to wat actually happened, and thats why she broke down closer to the end when she was talkin to hiroaka and said she would be stronger and that he would see in 10 years. man this story is like, subtle and amazing. i applaud it in its excellency.
anyway the hat reference: when 24nana (in 14nana's body) saved hiroaka from the accident she dropped her hat. (if you think about it there were alot of panels featuring that hat thats y u need to read it twice)....so i guess in the present, him saying i have ur hat is like saying that he knew it was her that saved him and i guess he picked it up....but then i guess i kinda get confused cuz in the past when hiroaka gets saved and all the pple gather around him, it seemed like they didnt know a girl saved him...and he said 'a girl was just there' or somethin like that...

about the hat that Hiroaka (the guy in a suit in the elevator) probably meant the hat she was wearing when she saved Hiroaka from the bus accident. she did like time traveled right so maybe since she did rescue him, that's what he is talking about. that just what i understand about the manga.

Spoiler!!!!!! for the entire manga!!!!! caution!
About the hat. In the very end, after she hears that she missed the farewell party and remembers what happened (she killed Hiroaka), she chases after Hiroaka to save him from being hit by the truck. The moment she runs to push Hiroaka out of the way, she turns back into her 24 year old self (because the past overlaps with the future-which is what happens in chapter 1, Nana being hit by a truck). The hat came from when the 24 year old Nana saved Hiroaka (Go back to the first chapter and you see she is wearing a fur hat. That is the same hat that you see in a puddle of blood in the last chapters). When she pushed Hiroaka out of the way of the truck to save him, her hat fell off. She disappears and all that is left in front of Hiroaka is a pool of blood and a hat.
Now in the future: In the elevator, Hiroaka mentions the hat, meaning that he recognizes her as the woman who saved him from being hit by the truck when he was 14. In other words, what Nana did in the past really changes the past and Hiroaka lives. It implies that Hiroaka remembers his feelings for Nana (and she remembers her love for him) and they'll live happily ever after. At least, that's usually what happens in shojo manga
