I think I'm 'afraid' in that I realize how bad things are going to get soon. Grad student, large loans, enormously high unemployment, and no wants to hire me (not enough experience) etc...

I'm thinking of saying screw it to being a typical grunt employee and try to be a writer or go into business for myself.

It's also fearsome in that as I get older I realize how much closer I am to losing my folks. My mom's nearly ready to qualify for social security.

I also HATE the fact I'm about to enter the later part of the 20's and I'm stuck living with my folks b/c I ain't got any money or an idea of what to do with my life as everything I had planned on fell apart. Doesn't help that I live in a rural town with not one bookstore (except the county library).

Yeah, kinda. I mean aging is scary, seeing yourself in the mirror for years and seeing changes, both physically and mentally.

Depends on how you look at it, right?

For me, I don't know.. As Telus says, The future is friendly! <-- LOL.

But yeah.. Looking forward to it. Wondering how everything will change..

Yup I'm very afraid. Because lately i have seen how my body's been changing with the years and how i cant do stuff that was so easy for me before(partly due to the lack of exercise tho). But once i got in my 30's staying awake the whole night... doing stuff, "make" a girl happy the whole night. and lots of normal stuff; became kind of chanlenging.

I used to be, not because ill die, but because Ill grow weak. I've seen old people and how bad their backs were, and some could not even walk. I like moving, I like doing dynamic stretches, bending, moving, and testing my muscles. If i couldn't do that, I would die.

We believe all humans are mortals out of inductive thinking, I'm called human out of inductive thinking (or not, depending what you define as a human), and even if the first statement were to be true I might not be human either and therefore could still be immortal.

So I, since i'm not dead, am immortal and you can't prove otherwise.

As ridiculous as that sound I'm been perfectly logical and there is even a poem, that a professor of mine told me about and i was trying to found on Google till i gave up, that talks about that. (note, i can't remember it clearly enough to found it on Google, it doesn't translate well to English)

"You can not tell if in the genetic lottery you were blessed by been the first immortal man" (that is as much as i remember, might be a quote from a book)

It really depends on my future. I really don't mind getting old but I want to get old in a comfortable manner; you know, not worrying over money or family problems. If I do get my wish of comfortable life, I would actually like to get old and have those grandma talk with my grandkids. I think that would be a very peaceful scene.

The back pains, arthritis, etc etc would suck but I'm already prepared to experience those when I'm already at that age. I just don't want my family to be financially deprived or get separated.

Not really. I'm afraid of ageing past 40.

it's not so much as afraid to age but rather if i age i'm getting closer to natural death right? and i'm scared to die cuz i dont know what will happen afterwards. Sure thing i might die young from illness or accident or smt but except for those i'll die someday anyway, no escape there, so from that point of view - yeah i'm afraid to age confused

but other than that - nope - i'm not afraid to age, at least not yet biggrin i celebrate my birthday & all smile actually i'm looking forward to see what i'll be like when older, both in character & looks smile wink grin

i kind of disagree with myself huh? biggrin

I am more afraid of losing my dignity than the ageing process. Once I have no dignity or privacy, I'm getting out of here.
