I read all of the artist's works (Junji Ito) but I love the horror mangas because it makes me think that mangas were perfect for horror. I don't mind if any of it has anything extremely horrible (including Guro, although I would prefer it not to). Basicly I'm asking for:
Horror
Average-high class art
English (heh)
Original story (I've had enough of fight enemy, fight stronger enemy)

I recommend 7 Seeds.

It's got weird animals and giant insects.

I recommend Variante, Dolls, Death Note, Uzumaki (really weird) and Island ( last one is a manhwa). Maybe also Sky High, but I don't seem to find it here, maybe it's under some other title...
I agree, mangas are perfect for horror! Sometimes a lot better then any film. Great to meet someone who thinks the same, later I will think of more titles.
Enjoy!

Ah thank you. Its very hard to read "exciting mangas" that are not completely scanlated. Glad Island is, I think I'll read that. Death note, and Uzumaki I've already read. Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I'm going to read Drifting classroom when its complete. 7seeds doesn't have the art that I'm looking for, but I'll read it when it gets farther than ch5. Thanks again!

Dragon Head is very creepy, anything by Umezu Kazuo is gold, and Battle Royale is very gripping, but very gory. Eternal Sabbath is probably a bit more psychological, but it's got some horrific elements. In fact, do a genre search for horror/psychological and horror/oneshots. There's some good stuff there. Ooo, and Kurosagi Shitai Takuhaibin and Mail both have wonderful art, with the horror leaning towards the ghost story/urban legend variety.
