@slyweasle:
You should really put all of your examples in spoiler tags for people who haven't read those stories yet and don't know the outcomes. Thanks! =)

Ahhhh... Sorry Sorry Liria/Scyfon I just joined these forums yesterday night and i am a "newbie" still on posting here. Haven't learned yet how to use the "spoiler" thingy yet. I guess i just have to look up the (help) section here i guess to learn my way around here.

Not sure what you mean by 'paragraphs" Scyfon ? Even though i am an Amercian my best in "English" class was a C and my senior year i busted my butt off to get that grade as it was laugh Now if you wanna discuss Math.... hehe Sorry to those i might have offended with "spoilers" regarding other manga's/anime's i discussed in earlier posts.

Right now i am following 'Kimi no iru Machi, GE , Crossover , Smash , Open Sesame , Bokura ga ita , Little house with the Orange Roof , ect mostly romance and/or sports. If anyone has a specific place here where it tells you how to use all of the "features" in posting in these forums then please do tell me where it is, i would apprecite it so i can follow forum decorum as they say.

Press the enter key after each idea or just once in while.

It's generally pretty easy. Put your cursor before the point where you want the spoiler to begin, and then either click the [
] button, or type in [
] (without the extra set of [], just like it is on the button).

When you get to the end, you click the button a second time, or type [
] (again, without the extra []) to close it off.

All of the tags (b, i, u, quote, etc.) work the same way.

And yes, it would help us if you would separate paragraphs by hitting the enter key once in a while to see where thoughts separate. =)

Last warning, I don't really see what debating about "Otaku" has to do with sharing your opinion on this case.

So this so called "first love" guy come right out of the blue after breaking up the day before and decides he wants some of the "Sou" action? and how can Sou who thinks she is in love with the "tennis newbie" decide to ditch the guy that quickly for some guy who only wants some action so quickly? At least if i was Sou i would of taken things slowly and see what happens later. The mangaka makes Sou out like she'll take just about anyone for sex if you ask me. Oh well i'm just a "low-level" Otaku fan who loves anime and romance manga laugh

All I can say is you probably have never been in love with someone, let alone had an unrequited love. The main char is a nice guy and all, but the "first love" guy as you call him spent 2 years with Shou, helping her gain confidence in herself and though often teasing being a generally good guy to her. After two years of being in love with someone, getting a hickey after going out for a week or so is in no way considered slutty or moving too fast.

The idea that you can only be in love with one person at a time is silly, and her relationship with the main char hadn't even progressed that far, he hadn't even confessed to her yet. All that happened is she figured out that he MIGHT like her, and that in return she might like him, but she didn't love him, or lust after him, or anything. Your comment about the mangaka portraying her as a slut is completely twisted and just plain wrong. And even if it wasn't, it still doesn't give anyone the right to send threatening messages to someone else over a piece of fiction that they are writing.

Ironically, these hardcore otakus actually support the author (buying 50 copies per volume) and keeping clothes on her back moreso than all the posters attacking them.

I mean really, ask yourselves, how often (if at all) do you actually buy RAW manga to support the authors? Even just one although that still pales in comparison to the 50 copies per volume.

Honestly, they have a right to be angry since they actually BUY the product instead of downloading it for free off the Internet. It's like someone eating at a restaurant and finds a fly in their soup while you scavenge the restuarant's garbage can. The guy complains to the chef and you're like "HEY GUY, STFU! CHEF BOYARDEE MAKES DELICIOUS FOOD, SUCK IT UP AND DRINK AND YOUR DAMN SOUP".

Anyways, come back and bitch about those hardcore otakus when you actually buy her work (consistently) instead of leeching.

If you order a soup and don't like the taste, shouting abuse at the chef is not an appropriate response.

Yes, my point was that not liking the direction of a manga is more akin to a soup that's not to your taste than one that has a fly in it. Also, there's a difference between making a complaint and being abusive.

No it's not. You can order a different soup if you don't like it. In fact, why would you order something you don't like? Ideally, you would order something you actually LIKE to eat unless you're ordering something you don't like just for the sake of complaining (I doubt they buy 10 copies per volume just to voice their dissatisfaction).

No, it's more akin to, you order something you like (the soup/manga) and you receive something you're dissatisfied with (the fly/the direction).

There is a difference between being unsatisfied with something you've paid for and expressing an opinion showing your distaste, and sending death threats to the producer of whatever you are unsatisfied with. It's a matter of degrees, and what is acceptable and not in society. These otaku are so blinded by their alternate world that they don't even see how what they are doing is wrong. Fine, stop buying the series if you don't like it, even send mail telling her you're unhappy with it. But sending threatening emails, just because you're living in a fantasy land and picturing yourself as the main character and his female love interest as your own, is not something you have a right to do as a fan of something, no matter how much you support it financially.

lol This reminds me of NGE. All the actual death threats Anno received. Though he handled it in a childish way he still sucked it up and realized who butters his bread.
