I saw it opening day. I really liked it! But then, I like most of Tim Burton's movies so I'm not surprised. It was a nice twist on Alice in Wonderland and I loved all the little quirks each character had.

I saw it saturday night. I liked it a lot. I especially liked that it was a portrayal of Alice's second time down the rabbit hole. Unfortunately, though the Hatter was good, I kinda too readily thought of Depp's past roles. Namely Willy Wonka and Jack Sparrow.

OMG! Just as I read that the tv told me the SAME THING. Trip.
Anyways. I liked it but I didn't have the option to watch it no 3D.
I can't stand 3D movies because the glasses hurt my eyes and my eyes get tired.
It was really cool though. I'm glad it owned Avatar. That thing was way to hyped up.

I went to the premier, maybe because I was sitting next some drunk guys that smelled aweful (more like they were sitting on me), or maybe because they took away my coffee, but really didn't think it was that great. The original Alice in Wonderland was such an original idea, but this movie took the characters and put them in an overdone plot. I almost feel like I've seen that exact movie before, and I could have skipped the middle and still have known what was happening at the end. I liked that Tim Burton made Wonderland "Underland" but they didn't really elaborate enough on it, which probably annoyed me more than anything. All the characters would talk about freeing "Underland" and Alice would just go off on how she loved "Wonderland" and for such a dark movie everything just went perfectly for the heroine. Who was not at all dynamic, and actually super annoying. Also that dance at the end was super stupid. I guess it all depends on what you expect from it though.
I went to see it on Friday with my family, it was fun I really liked it. I enjoy all of Tim Burton's films so I went with high expectations and left satisfied. It is a bit over-hyped, but so was Avatar and I liked that one as well. :3
Not that surprised, ever since it was in production it was all people were talking about. I would be surprised if it surpasses Avatar over all in the box office.

it was rather bad
had nothing to do with the wonderful novels
Tim Burtons irl friends get way too much screentime
and the live-animated thing they got going on is just awful

I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton so I went in not really knowing what it was about, apart from the fact that it was a re-adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Saw it in IMAX, but same as Kitteh, 3D hurts my eyes
Other than that, I thought it was amazing, loved the costumes and quirks, good cast was a bonus. Loved Tweedledee and Tweedledum
But whether you like it or not is probably really based on if you like that style.. cos it's quite odd like other Tim Burton movie (e.g. Edward Scissorhands, Willy Wonka, Corpse Bride, etc.)

The only option for those who haven't seen it is "I really want to"? What's up with that? Anyways, I haven't seen it, but perhaps I will sometime in the next few months.

Even though Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors, I didn't find this movie that special...I loved the performances of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, but... that was all. The main heroine was somehow really dull Though it's probably just me.
I second Binturong about Burton's older movies being better.
BTW TaoPaiPai, did you really expect that the movie would follow the novel O_o
