I'd prefer to be awake & aware, say my goodbyes, fall asleep peacefully, and THEN die. eyes

sure, why not...XD. i like to reawaken just to surpise the hell out ofeveryone around me before dying again.

but then again, i don't quite understand awake...awake as in revive? or awake as in having spiritual entity thereXD, or even awake as in resurrection a thousand years later?

Awake as in MJ hell!

That's why "modern humans" are so....(%$#%#^%#) let's say a disappointment. Let's suppose you DO feel pain ( though when you are dying you don't fell any pain). What if you do feel pain? What if you DO fear? Everything will disappear from your eyes. ( i am pretty curious about seeing the kaleidoscope, if it is true) It won't matter if you have any sort of negative feelings. Or so I believe.

I'd rather be awake.

Not to say goodbye or any of that shit, just to have the life slowly sucked out of me.
And see if I really want to live or not.
P.S - that sounds really emo and creepy...

A very interesting question.

I'd feel quite uncomfortable with the idea that my life is ending whether I am aware of it or not. The reason that I would be uncomfortable with it even though I would not know it is coming is for that very fact. I am a paranoid person, and I can imagine that as I grow into old age, I may retain this feature and fear death with every slumber. Since that time is so far away, I can't predict that accurately, but it sounds horrific already.

And if I was conscious at the time of my demise, and aware of it, my mind would most likely be overcome with feelings of anxiety, fear, nostalgia, and the basic instinct to cling onto the life I have lived. That doesn't sound very pleasant either. However, to choose between the two, I would most likely choose to die without ever knowing of it. Although my beliefs change occasionally, for the time being I choose to believe that oblivion awaits in death. Even if I should die while sleeping or unconscious, how would I even complain, I'd feel nothing. It sounds better to me than living my last moments in a negative fashion.

Simply, no. I wouldn't want to be awake.

No, it would be even worse if I have to say goodbye and it's final. I'd just visit them when I'm a ghost, I'll make sure sure my loved ones know I love them then.

Plus, I don't like pain. So when I'm really sick and suffering I'll be pretty much screaming at the nurse to give me morphine or anything stronger that they might have. smile wink grin

I never really thought about if I want to die in my sleep or not, but I have thought of ways that I want to die. But if I had to choose one I think I would rather die in my sleep, so that way I won't know that I had actually died inless I turn into a ghost and able to go anywhere I want.

Morphine is the strongest narcotic painkill used at hospitals, and they give it to you only if there's no other way ( last stadium of cancer, amputations, etc.), because it's slowing down the pulse. I still have some morphine at home and I've no idea, what to do with it.

And how about your last words?
What do you guys think, what would be your last words? Or what would you do after becoming a ghost?

I would want to be awake, so that just as my bowels release I can laugh one last time .

laugh Eeeew, another thing to remind myself not to do when I'm in my deathbed.

I'll visit my family first and say whatever needs to be said. Then I'll be a voyeuristic ghost.

@ZacK_BlanC_, would you please reduce the size of your sig? The preferred size for a sig is around the same height as an avatar.

And on the subject of this thread... I refuse to ever think about death. And I don't really care whether I'm awake, or not when death comes. My death means nothing to me.

I want to die sleeping. Even now, I know that I've lived, I know my purpose to life, I've had a nice time.

I don't want the pain before dying, because I know that I will try to resist the pain to live. If it is my time, let it be during a time when I can't resist.

i can only answer this once i've witnessed what death truly feels like

for now, at the rate human civilization is going at, the earth will wither and died by the time i reawake, so why would i want to be revive to a rotten world full of pollution and jackasses?
