Try Dolls, if you haven't already. The series focuses around an execution team, and people find them to be disgusting. Although their jobs are necessary, their entire city/country hates them to the point that a resistance group against them has formed.

Assassins/Cursed Children

Shojo
Apothecarius Argentum - Male lead was treated very badly because he is part of a shunned minority who are deadly to the touch and is sold off as a poison tester for the royal palace.

Dokuhime - Same deal. Female lead is part of an assassin's guild that takes orphaned girls and , feeds them poison until their very touch is poisonous, and sells them off as concubines to control countries. Obviously, not the most popular girl.

Gakuen Alice - Natsume isn't so much hated, as feared by everyone. He's uncontrollable and dangerous, so while some students admire him, nobody really approaches him.

Shonen

666 Satan - Basically naruto. Child has satan inside of him, is shunned by village. I think it's written by naruto guy's brother.

Ao no Exorcist - Naruto again, essentially. Kid is satan's spawn and decides to become an exorcist despite obvious opposition. Don't be fooled, though. This manga is very different that naruto in every other respect. Quite well written ~ I don't want it to end.

Hunter x Hunter - Same guy who did yyh! Killua is and is constantly the target for vendettas. Because of his family, he has no friends. He's the equivilant of hiei from yyh. If that's not enough, his own family plays mind games with him.

Chunchu Manhwa where male lead is the accursed prince who was prophesized to be the twin that brings destruction. He definitely wasn't liked growing up (i think they tried to kill him?).

Togari About a mass murderer from the edo (?) era who is released from hell to defeat 108 evil apparitions using a sword that devours evil. He was hated all of his short life (16 years), and in hell. When he returns to the world of the living, he does find some kindness, though.

Belmonde le VisiteuR - About an interregator who has lived in the basement of a monastary all his life because he is the king's illegitimate son. Obviously, for political reasons he is not loved by his family, and the people who raised him treated him very coldly because of his witch's blood.

Dangu - Both the male and female lead (they change leads) are part of a target group of 'shaman' that are the target of ethnic cleansing. They live difficult lives where everyone is against them. The female lead is sold as a slave into the slums, where she must fight to survive. Ie both are hated by their country, and usually targeted by everybody else aside from a few sympathizers.

Shut Hell - Female lead snaps goes on a one-man vendetta to kill the man who massacred her regiment. She eventually teams up with a small group of people who have a unstable relationship with her (they're kind of quasi-hostages). She's very much the outcast who is treated as an animal, even by her 'comarades'.


I hope i found something you may like. I'm not sure how on target all of these are.

not sure if Until Death Do Us Part counts, but it's a great manga

basically the main character is really unlucky so alot of people hate him but you don't see that for a couple of chapters.
