Naruto could've been so much worse.
But it started on a good ground, and had promising talent.
It still does.
But with all the things happening lately in Naruto, it makes one just wonder where was all the good stuff in the beginning?
But seriously, if you had read it from the beginning, you would understand. Naruto has those good meanings that connected a reader to the story. Pain such as loneliness, a strong bond like friendship...these things are stuff that a reader can connect.
I have to admit that there are times where the story didn't seem to progress at all for some 20 chapters or so. But if you had kept reading, you would see that it has progressed. I think I can say for the most part, that at this point of the manga, we finally see some progression of the storyline and where it is heading. And though some of the jutsus some characters have seem so damn impossible, I want to see the end of Naruto and how everything will be resolve. There are so many questions still left wondering, I want to see the end of it. I want to see how this kid, Naruto, who went through so much to get strong and follow his path, gets through all the problems currently and how he will finally reach his dream.
That is my reason for still reading. Because Naruto is seriously a manga that touched my heart. I keep reading because I want to see how it will all finally end.

One thing I would like to point out. Some of you guys think that the whole thing that happened with Pain and Naruto was a bunch of bull.
Honestly, if you think about Naruto's personality, looking back at it now, there wouldn't have been any other way how it would turn out. It's hard to explain, but I feel like, because Naruto is Naruto, that kid who tries so hard and follow his own path, that was how it had to end. There was no way it could've ended a different way. To Naruto talking to Pain and all of Pain's past...because Naruto is someone who makes you feel moved and make you wanna trust him, that is how that arc ended.

Well, hate all you want, rant all you want. This is my opinion.

It "seems" like it's nearing an end. I HOPE it's nearing an end. Whatever it's heading toward, it's a painful one. Each week, sometimes two week, I get a hint of resolution... then slapped in the face with a cliffhanger added with some lame quote(s). Then rinse and repeat... I must be a masochist.

The same reason most people finished the Harry Potter series. You are so far into it you might as well finish it.

Harry Potter went to shit after the 3rd book in my opinion, but I just had to keep reading to finish the story.

Same with Naruto. Got bad after some point, but I might as well keep going.

i stopped reading Naruto when it started to get annoying , when sasuke became emo and so did naruto and then i even really started to hate sakura and her crying nonstop and that "sad"=really annoying feeling that they get when remembering their happy past together...
nowdays i still know whats going on with the plot , i just dont care anymore and just wanna see how it will end..
i didnt start to hate naruto ,reading it just became unbearable and very boring cry

Naruto is my 2nd manga (after DB) and I still love it, it seems to mature together with a reader (staying a shounen nevertheless).

about harry potter......4th book was also fine btw....the dragons and competition stuff was kinda nice....but it was downhill after that....anyway what did the hero accomplish .....he did nothing himself.......

got protected a few times by the scar his mother left
got his ass saved by the wand's core
hermoine did all the thinking
voldemort got his ass busted by his own spell ........so in the end what did potter do in 7 books ??just run around biggrin

anyway...i read it cos its free.......i watched anime and brought dvd ......but seriously all naruto fillers suck big time in the anime...so i strted out with the manga after the gaara kidnapping arc

I mean Harry potter story is pretty generic wizard teen book. I read dozens other series just like it, i wasn't that impressed when i read it. But hey, i kept reading it hoping i found out why it's so popular. then i realize maybe it's not me.....maybe it's everyone else....

Anyway, Harry potter was down the drain after the 2nd book. Good suspense but shitty character development and description. I don't feel the characters were very close to me nor probable human. I feel like I was reading a fiction.....which is bad when the fiction is trying to bring you into the wizrd fantasy world. The movie is just corny.

But i think naruto is a different case. Naruto dragged on for so long but it's just we all hope it would finish one day and conclude the story. But with harry potter, it's a "mehh... I kind of know the ending. Moldiebutt dies and Larry Pooper cries becuase some main character dies, but being the pedo ass hole he is, he's going to hit on his best friend's little sister and take adventage of her crush and marry her." Danggg I'm so bitter lol
