It seems that is why Ichigo's Dad knew about this technique, since he used it and lost all his powers. If you recall the first time you saw him as a shiningami he was talking with Urahara about how his body was adjusting to his powers again. Meaning that there is a way to get your shiningami powers back.

If Ichigo's dad already know the technique why bother teaching it to his son and THEN fight. Why don't he just fight Aizen himself... confused confused confused

Yeah, it's quite easy...Tite just has to write "and Ichigo got his powers back." He hasn't cared about continuity since page one, so why would he stop now?

Lol.
Exactly.

Ichigo got em back.
Ishida got his powers back.
Ichigo's Pops is gettin them back.

It really is laughable whenever there is a "Final" form, cause everyone knows it just a matter of time before they get their powers back.

no, this is no where anything at all, not even close to what happened in Hunter x hunter, seriously, like OMG!! like this is no way related(sarcasm). Seriously it seems cool, but no, it is no where near as cool as hunter x hunter.

I want to add something meaningful to this conversation but all I keep thinking is, "Man, now he looks somebody out of last July's issue of Lynx. Or BexBoy".

Or like Lucifer from Tenshi Kinryouku. Only more mullet-y.

Mind you: I'm not complaining.

In fact, this chapter has so many BL possibilities in that I'm surprised that this thread hasn't been run over by raging fangirls. They must be at the different forum.

"The one I want to protect is you, Ichigo," said bishie Lil'Getsu; stabbeded you with my shWard metaphorical physical & sexual bonding; cry cry sniffle real emotional bonding; NOW WE HAVE BECOME ONE BLARGH I see all of the female fans a'comin' hooooome! = $$$

That's about constructive as my thoughts on this chapter are gonna get.

What happened to Aizen vs Ichigo?

All I saw were two new characters fight... I mean they are both pretty awesome and all, but they should've been seperate characters. Half of this chapter looked like it belonged to another manga. Again, just to clarify, I thought it was an awesome chapter, but damn I didn't expect that! In a good but shocking way... I wonder what happens next... it doesn't look like Aizen will survive this attack.

I always thought that he'd somehow get the King's key (without killing Karakura Town) and go to the next dimention to start a new Bleach arc. I hope we get to see hollow Ichigo again, because it's not looking good for him and Zangetsu right now...

Hopefully Kubo keeps up the pace in the coming chapters and fills them with more awesome.

Wow.
Does the length of Ichigo's hair correspond with his strength? laugh

Anyways~ I am not sure if I liked the chapter or not. I suppose I liked it, it's just that I dislike seeing him say that Ichigo will lose his Shinigami powers--seeing as though he's just going to regain them anyways. I mean, the manga can't continue without Ichigo being powerful.

And I would like to say that Aizen is defeated now (I mean, that slash apparently made even mountains look small), but I could see Kubo making Aizen survive and be annoying for a while longer.

The character design is awesome, but the whole "I lose all of my shinigami powers after doing this" is not. This happened before (Ishida vs. Mayuri) and look what happened after that.

Also, something tells me that when Squad Zero comes up (If they come up), they'll be able to do the same thing and they'll teach Ichigo how to get back his shinigami powers (You know, since Kubo repeats pretty much every damn thing he does).

That really would be annoying.
Considering how Kubo loves to waste space, he could easily use up pages upon pages for Aizen's death scene. I suppose I shouldn't expect too much progress from next week's chapter.

Well, we did just have a hyperbolic time chamber of sorts, so that seems pretty on par.

Once again, Kubo has shown he knows how to design characters and clothes and nothing else.

I liked the chapter... It surprised me... Well, the part of losing his powers wasn't needed ¬¬
I can see the next chapter: Aizen is dying and have a flashback, and there it will be introduced a new super boss... Or something similar to Ulquiorra'a death scene.

Either way, I really liked :] specially because I tought Kubo would drag Ichigo x Aizen fight (altough he can still show in the next chapter that Aizen evolved yet again) and then spend a couple of chapters to show Ichigo x Zangetsu...

I actually liked this chapter of bleach when compared to most of the decide chapters. While yes there may be a chance for Tito to just write in a way for Ichigo to keep his powers and continue the manga this also leaves a place for it to end.

Aizen has been the major villain for the majority of the series and up to this point there has been no bigger badass than him. He has the one who has been hurting those that Ichigo wants to protect. Ichigo only gained shinigami powers in the first place because he wanted to protect his family. Every time he gains more power it's to protect those people that he cares about. So to give up his power as a shinigami to defeat Aizen would keep those he cares about protected from then on because there is no greater enemy to defeat at this point than Aizen. So for him the "decision" to lose his shinigami powers to protect his precious people is an easy one that he doesn't think about.

That brings us to Tensa Zangetsu/Hichigo. As they said, they don't want to protect the people that Ichigo wants to protect, they want to protect Ichigo since he won't protect himself. They feel that not only would Ichigo be getting rid of them, he would be getting rid of his own protection in case some greater power comes along. So their "decision" to protect Ichigo is to not teach him the technique so that he'll be protected in the future. They do change this decision though, because ultimately they cannot refuse Ichigo's will.

So I see this either going in two directions:

Direction A has the series ending with Aizen being defeated and Ichigo attempting to go back to a normal life as a regular human and not a shinigami.

Direction B has him not actually losing his powers or regaining them in some way so that he can take down the next baddie that Tite throws his way and the series continues on.
