Could someone recommend good, subtitled (in English) Asian drama that is BL/yaoi/subtexual? Could be Japanese, Korean or from any other Asian country... But it must be BL or at least heavily subtextual! I'm not asking for actual links to subbed episodes or anything, just the names of series/films that you KNOW are subbed, either officially or by fans.

I'm a total n00b when it comes to Asian live-action, so your help will be greatly appreciated. smile

You could try :

Boys Love : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boys_Love_(film)

Also you have a lot of good ones here : http://beautifulbl.webs.com/

I now you said "Asian Dramas" but if you want, you could also try a german movie : it's called "Sommersturm" (german , http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sommersturm) or "Summer Storm" ( english, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_Storm). It's very beautiful and sensible, about adolescence boys that try to find who they truly are .

Ciao!

Life is Beautiful. :3 ♥ It's really good, and the gay couple isn't really the main focus because it's about family and stuff XD But there's a lot of scenes with them, especially in the later episodes.

Here's a community where you can find the latest episodes subs, and cute cut scenes of the couple. :3

And this is the group that subs it~

Is this allowed? Linking to what I posted, I mean...<_<

did you say live-action BL ?? <(^.^)>i always wanted to see it (i bought Brokeback Mountain just for that reason). Honestly, there should be more films/soap operas/series about gay couples (as long they are cute or good looking) to make people more understanding for them

Frozen Flower is really good - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Frozen_Flower

Life is Beautiful is supposed to be fantastic, it's too bad that it has had such a hard time with the union of mothers.

Antique Bakery has a Korean live action adaptation.
I rather enjoyed it.

I liked the drama of Ai no Kotodama better than the manga, to be honest. I also enjoyed Itsuka no Kimi e for reasons beyond my understanding (I blame it on Kawai Ryuunosuke). Renai Shindan was also interesting, though not all of the stories in the series were BL.

...Though now I'm not sure if they all have subs in one form or another. Dang.

There also is an Adapted to Live Action tag that you could check out.

Not sure if you've seen it... or how good you'll think it is, but there is I Love Mama More Than Anyone, which was licensed and aired in English to the American public.

Personally, the eldest sons relationship with the Pinko and the character after the relationship weren't believable... but this could have been to various reasons. Maybe there was a time constraint, the writers just didn't care anymore, they had not originally planned for the two to end up together, or something other reason... either way it's not the best, but it's the only show I know of.
