for close combat i go with a blade, not the big ones the small ones... fast, agile, don't go dull as fast as a sword...
medium range... i go with a shotgun or a rapid fire guns
long range... i'm not entirely sure....
.... wait what are the question again??
didn't we have a weapon thread here somewhere??

Okay fence riders, instead of saying, "Oh, I love X but Y would also be good for this. BS BS BS BLAH BLAH BLAH, each have their place BLAH BLAH BLAH I do both."

Look, any idiot that knows what the hell a gun and a sword knows their usage and their pros/cons. We don't need 99 people re-iterating facts that a ten year old can figure out.

My answer: Swords! Just like driving a classic car, there is a classy feeling to beating your opponent with a sword rather than with a gun. Plus, a sword is the ultimate phallic symbol! Once you're out of bullets, you're impotent (plus, you always go off too soon and often than not, miss your mark). A knife/sword in the hands of a skill user can keep going and going and going and going...

I do believe your answer is also "reiterating facts that a ten year old can figure out".

Well i would go with sword in one hand and a gun in the other one , but as the topic says you gotta choose i would totally prefer dual swords , no idea why , but i just love them xD

Just asked on of my ten year old neighbors if they new what phallic means. They don't. Just asked a thirty year old man what phallic means...he thought it was a European car.

So I may have reiterate facts, but atleast I didn't ride the fence and puss out on giving a straight answer.

I prefer swords. They're just cool and I'd rather be in a sword fight than a gun fight. One shot with a gun, and I could be dead. I have better odds defending against a sword.

Lmao wouldn't that mean guns are more potent than a sword >>
and @doorknob Idk where you live but from my pov your answer resembles almost every answer given in this thread.

I'd rather have a gun to defend myself (not like I really would though), but swords are pretty cool. :>

sword all the way, there is something erotic about the sound a swinging sword. If I could just put it in words.

Holy shit, sword all the way.
They are just so much cooler, and personally, I think it makes people look more bad-ass because it requires more skill.
Not to mention, in anime and such, swinging a blade is so much more dramatic than pulling a trigger.
And just as someone previously mentioned, it's classier.

I go for swords. Any sword really but I prefer a katana.

My personal favourite type of katana is a rather odd one. The dimensions of the parts are not what you would expect. A very long handle with a shorter blade in comparison with the regular katana, but it's still overall a little longer. And it's kept in a saya made for a normal length blade so it can be drawn much faster then you'd think just by looking at it.

But there are so many weapons I like I couldn't list them here hehe. biggrin

Ah, don't tell me you haven't seen Zero from Vampire Knight or Dante from Devil May Cry. Guns can pwn if you know how to use em. Especially if they're infinite ammo like Tasha's from Witch Hunter and Zero's magic guns.
Edit: I forgot to mention Alucard from Hellsing.
