I just Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 and it was riveting! There were some laugh-out-loud moments and moments where people were tearing up.

For instance, I felt like crying when

I saw Lavender Brown dead. It was just so sad! ;_;

It's been ten years since seeing the first movie, so it's basically been a decade of this series' movies.

I guess that all that's left is awaiting Pottermore and the rumored encyclopedia.

About the encyclopedia, read somewhere she was going to take a while with it, dont expect it anytime soon.

I saw Part 2 as well, somewhat disappointed personally. Also just saw The Aviator.

OMG. I just cant help but post again bigrazz I just watched The Fountain. A 2004 movie with Hugh Jackman. and it was just one of the most awesome movies I watched so far. I watched Troy too last night and it was great but I suggest watching The Fountain cool It might be a little physcologically deep. Confusing to those who arent used to that genre.

Deathly Hallows Part 2... I had a lot of friends going on about how great it was but personally I was kind of disappointed. I think it missed out on a lot of the epic moments from the books for no reason, lots of opportunities for heartwarming moments wasted, and the final battle between Harry and Voldemort and the aftermath was a complete anti-climax after almost two hours of solid action. I wanted to see some celebration or some mourning - instead you get

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
people afterwards having happy little chats in the destroyed Great Hall as though half the people in the school haven't just died and Voldemort hasn't finally been vanquished. Then it cuts to Harry, Hermione and Ron discussing the Elder Wand which completely bogs the end of the film down in plot points they couldn't fit in anywhere else... the last thing I wanted at this point was to be bludgeoned over the head with an explanation.

It's hard not to like it because it's Harry Potter and the final film and my childhood, but... it definitely had flaws. Well, but that's not to say I didn't get a bit teary-eyed or occasionally got shivers when something really cool happened, but I probably cried more when Dumbledore died and everyone lifted their wands up and lit them with magic. That was an epic moment of heartwarming.

Also, Alan Rickman was great, but I wish they'd spent more time exploring his past with Lily and they actually showed her Patronus was a doe instead of having Harry have to point it out by asking about it.
