Yes, I like plants. I like them a lot. And I like them even more when they have a fantastical side to it, which is what I'm looking for right now.
Fantastical trees, bizarre fruits, sentient flowers--you know the drill. They can be part of the main setting or play an important part in the plot. A note please, I've read a lot of stories where only one tree was special and because it had a spirit or a god in them and I am not looking for these kind of stories. I might accept a plant-person if there is more to the story that involves plants than just this human-like plant.
I would love it even more if you recommend me a story with a character in it who has a certain afinity with them. As in, the plants seem to favor them? Or someone like Kurama (his power), from YuYu Hakusho being the main character.
So far, I've only encountered a manga, Silver diamond, and a webcomic, Kisswood, that fit. Do you happen to know more stories like these?
As long as this condition(s) are met, I couldn't careless about demographics or romance or sexualities or whatever else.
Thank you in advance.
Ps: I checked the Plants category and searched the forums. I only found Yasei no Bara to be attractive.
I'm too greedy to be satisfied with only one title.

The Circle of Magic series by Tamora Pierce (books) involves a main character and his teacher who are plant mages. There are four main characters, but he's one of them.

Ah, I love that series~
Um, Toriko is a manga filled with both fantastic beasts and exotic food plants [Bacon leaves comes to mind] though I don't know if it's what you're looking for. There was a manga called Dolls a while back- I never read it, but it referred to them as Plant Dolls, so it might be similar.

Dragonfiremule,
After a quick trip to wikipedia, I'm definitely adding those books in. They fit so well another one of my long-lasting craves.
WarriorKalia,
The Toriko description made me snort, so of course I'll read it. Thanks!
Avian3,
It doesn't look like plants are a major element to it, though :/ thanks, anyway.
To everyone else, more, please?

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
There's a toxic jungle and the humans want to condemn it. Nausicaa thinks they can coexist. It's a manga and a movie.
Edit: She definitely has an affinity for the plants.

Strongly seconding Nausicaa. Shuna no Tabi might also be of interest.
Mushishi doesn't really fit, but certain chapters have plants at the focus and mushi kind of have the feel of fantastic plants.

Also, you could try Akagami No Shirayukihime. She's a medicinal healer and uses plants as medicine. Though they aren't really fantastical plants . . .
