I'd cry rivers..I stay away from tragedy 'cos i'm pretty emotional about death. Though it won't stop me from continuing on reading.

depends on the manga. if it´s really good i continue reading
otherwise i try to avoid manga like this except when i´m in the right mood to read this kind.
but in most manga i gain the knownledge that my favorite character would die i stop reading it and pick it up again later

Cry a lot, but keep reading.
I'd still want to know how the story ends.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
death note
I stopped reading the manga. Up until now, i still haven't resume reading it. This was the only manga were I have hope for the villain to succeed. He is the main character but he is still the villain, right? @@

Just gotta think "I knew it" and continue reading.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
only exception is one piece, ace's death,I'm furious at that time
Continue reading.
Even if I know it's going to happen, it's still interesting to see how it's going to happen.
No point in not reading it and postponing the inevitable.

.... ah umm... i put that ranting to the author part as a joke...
and i think this two could be easily mistaken from one another:
- Stop reading and eventually pick it up again after moping; and
- Continue on reading as usual
imho the first would be better: cry a while... or a river, then continue reading
as for me, normally i continue reading as usual... as if there's nothing happen. but i cry a little when i found out that yuuko (xxxholic) is not coming back

Well it depends on the manga. If its well written, then chances are there are going to be good reasons for continuing to read the manga or perhaps the death itself is beautifully tragic, as are the ramifications.
If, on the other hand, the character was the only good thing about the manga, then I wouldn't read on.
The only time I've done this is when I found out what was going to happen to L in Death Note.
