I'm looking for a Young Adult or Adult fantasy book that has a male lead who is not straight. It's very important that the book be fantasy, or sci-fi, and it's also very important that the lead is male and not straight.
Realistically? I don't expect anyone to come up with anything. But if you do, I promise that you will always have a special place in my heart.
Btw, I might be willing to go younger than YA depending on the book (I'm not really sure how people rate these things . . . ). Anyway. Good luck to me, right?
Edit: I guess TV shows might work as well, but if it's a TV show, then it must be from the POV (sort of) of the male lead. So Torchwood would not work, since, even though Jack is the main character, it's mostly told from Gwen's perspective. And I would prefer books.

The Last Herald Mage Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey
Luck in the Shadows by Lynn Flewelling (name of first book in series)
Both are adult fantasy.

Seconding The Nightrunner Series by Lynn Flewelling.
You might like Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner (historical fantasy) as well.
On the sci-fi front there's Carnival by Elizabeth Bear.

May I just say, I love all of you people?
The threads aren't really specific enough for what I'm looking for, but I could find a few things in them that looked like they were what I wanted anyway. So thanks. All of these suggestions are just great. I've already ordered several of them.
I will never have enough though, so if anyone knows of any more, I would very much appreciate them as well.

Are you more interested in like, sexually explicit stuff, or more toned down stuff?
