Oh. Oh my goodness. I think after reading ch. 57 I like her about 50 million times more than i originally did . . . Oh my goodness. Who knew she had it in her, right?

I know, seriously! I was like OMG Lizzy's gonna DIE. And she looked so pretty in the scene were she was all "I just wanted to you think I was cute until the end" and I was all touched and sad and stuff but then she turns out to be awesome!!!!

Now she finally seems worthy of being Ciel's wife! XD

But I can say that I'm starting to like Ciel a bit more now.

I wholeheartedly agree with ForteAtrox.
I never liked her character, and after chapter 56 my dislike of her just deepened, that was an incredibly stupid thing of her to think.
I guess I'll have to wait and see if there is really something in chapter 57 to redeem her, since unusuallove says it is.

At first, I never really thought much of her other than the cutesy character, which was pretty boring IMO.
But after seeing her family fight during the previous chapter, I started to wonder why Lizzy didn't seem to know how to fence either.

And after reading chapter 56, I couldn't help going gyaaahh!!! <3 at her urber awesomeness (just like the time with Meirin) *nosebleeds* xD

I think this was also probably the first time I thought she was super cute~


(and I don't think there's anything wrong with girls wanting to look cute/good in front of the people they're in love with, especially considering the time period this story takes place)

I agree with those who thought her need to be cute outburst towards Ciel was ridiculous as well. She is adorable and all, but I neither like nor dislike her. She's kind of just there I guess, which I don't mind too often whenever she appears.

Oh wow, I didn't know Lizzy had it in her! I thought it was weird that everyone else in her family knew how to fence, besides her. Now everything makes sense.

Now that I think of it.. This just proves Ciel is the most useless character in the whole series. ):

I could do with or without her, I mean if she could fight, her help woudl have been a lot more beneficial for teh team as a whole earlier on, but eh teh story line is still awesome

I don't think he's useless. After all, this is all about him. He's manipulative, crafty and resourceful, and he knows how to use other people to get where he wants to go. Just because he can't charm snakes or fence or pull people apart with his bare hands, doesn't make him the least useful character. In fact, he knows exactly what to do in order to inspire faithfulness in the people around him. If you think about it, his servants, Snake, Lizzy, Sebastian, all these strong characters are fighting for him. And it's not just because he got lucky. With Lizzy, they were childhood friends so it's a different story, but with everyone else, he planned for them to be loyal and protect him. He knows what he's doing.

Anyway. As far as Lizzy goes, I realize that it's not good for girls to dumb themselves down for the sake of boys, but I gotta admit, I'm so glad she did. Not only does this make her less pathetic and useless and weak, it also makes her a more complex character.

In the beginning I didn't like Lizzy at all ... she was annoying (and even worse in the anime)! But as I was reading ch 57 and came to the place where she almost died (I actually almost cried) and she was talking about how she always wanted to be seen as pretty and cute in Ciel's eyes (doesn't almost every girl want to be seen as cute in front of the person they like or have I just read too many shoujos?) and she then suddenly started killing the zombies, my reaction was: ... GO LIZZY, YOU'RE TOTALLY BADASS!!! KICK THOSE ZOMBIES ASSES ... HEADS!!!!

Yeah, so now I really like Lizzy and aprove her of being Ciel's fiance and I really liked the last page where she said: "the wife of the queen's watchdog!" I really hope she stays badass in the future chapters too, because she seems more real like that compared to the sweet girl act she did before.

Before I read chapter 57, I just don't care whether Lizzy exists or not. I was like "meh, probably one of the characters who are going to die at some point."

Now, SHE KICKS ASS!!! At first I thought that she's too different with her other family members. Now..now I want to clap my hands for her. At least she now has characteristics which make her worthy of standing next to Ciel.

Still doesn't like how she's a crybaby, though. But if she suddenly turns into a tough girl, it's probably kinda weird. So, thumbs up to the author!!

I always liked Lizzy she's a good match for Ciel. This just makes her even better.

I like her even more after reading chapter 58. That must have really sucked for her, suppressing who she was all those years just so she could support Ciel. And I like that in the end, when it came down to it, she chose protecting Ciel over pretending to be "the perfect wife".

It makes me feel really sad for her, knowing how she must of felt when she thought Ciel had died and knowing that she'll have to feel that way again. I mean, it's sad, but the truth is, the fiancee she loves so much, the wedding she's been looking forward to forever, the man she's sacrificed her life for - none of those things are hers anymore. Ciel is on borrowed time right now, and its going to run out long before either of them is old enough to get married. And Lizzy's going to be left to go through the same kind of pain all over again. It's too cruel.

I just wonder what Ciel must be thinking when he jokes around with Lizzy's brother about marrying her, and when he comforts Lizzy and tells her he still wants to be her husband. Because he knows it's not going to happen. He knows he'll be dead before he's married. So what is he thinking?
