God, this chapter was confusing and easy to follow at the same time...

I say just confusing.
Good to see Itachi and Pain are still strong.
But why do they still have their eyes (they were taken)?

Man was this an awesome chapter... the only thing I hope is that Itachi does not sacrifice himself in order to save Naruto and Bee from Nagato.. Now that Itachi is free I want him to stay around for a while... at least until he sees Sasuke...

I think they return to the form they had when they were still alive otherwise the jutsu would be useless.

That's what I'm thinking as well. The resurrection jutsu says that it takes their soul from the spirit world and puts it into a dead sacrifice body, so they take the form of how they were right when they died.

That's true, didn't Nagato and Itachi had their eyes when they died? They didn't get plucked out of their heads when they were alive, they died with them. Read the chapter of when Kabumaru was explaining the Ressurection Technique, all of them get their powers back.

Bwahahaha! The only way to stop a hax jutsu is with an even bigger hax jutsu. Too bad for Kabuchimaru that one of his zombies had the sharingan.

And LOL! Technically speaking, Naruto now has his very own sharingan. It's not in his head, but he still has it.

I wonder if Itachi is going to stick around or not. The fact that he's no longer being controlled means they don't have to seal him, but Naruto's comment that Itachi has done enough and to leave the rest to him makes it sound like this is the end of the line for Itachi...

Boy, is there a bigger pawn to konoha than itachi? before, i was expecting a revealing twist making tobi responsible for the uchiha massacre but, itachi was ready and willing to trap his little brother in a life long genjutsu! "protect konoha"... wow.

Yeah but I thought the jutsu needed their bodies which would allow their spirits to being physical entities. Not sure how Itachi's eyes are still intact when Sasuke had them implanted into himself. It's like saying there are now two sets of eyes both belonging to Itachi. Wow, this chapter WAS confusing lol.

the real bodies are not required.. merely some blood etc.from the dude u wanna bring back
it was explained in detail some chapters ago..
basically u just need a living container for the dead soul
the body is actually covered in dust to imitate the implanted soul..
so those super eyes and other super ultra PWN bloodlines are dirt/dust..
makes sense?
ofc not
ever since pain brought the whole goddamn village back to life the plot is getting more and MOAR ridiculous

but hey.. it's naruto..

Oh... so the genjutsu would have been permanent? I was confused about that part. Is that what the rest of you got out of the whole "protect Konoha" genjutsu?

If that's the case, then like you, I find that shocking. It would have been kinder to simply kill Sasuke than permanently subvert his free will through a genjutsu.
