Is there a manga/etc. where a fat character is NOT depicted as either somone that will be on a diet very soon, magically alltered, eating all the time, or for the most time degraded all the time? I was trying to look for a manga like that, but couldn't find any sad
Would prefer them be the main character in the story, or very close to the main.

Accel World doesn't quite fit because most of it is spent in a virtual world. Still the main character who is short and fat finds something he is good at.

Hoshi no Samidare has a fat character that can create those golems.
Hotman, idr if he's fat or just chubby, but he's the mc.

If you don't mind martial arts manga, try read Kenji. The male lead's best friend is fat and being bullied, but he started studying martial arts. I just read it and remember your thread biggrin
