After such a long time, Pikachu could be like the most powerful Pokemon in existance if Ash would just evolve it into a Raichu.

I know dude, Pikachu should be level 100 xxxxx but NOOO it's like level 10 in the anime, it's so weak!! Besides ash is like 10 years old and he is not in school and is traveling by himself like an adult! I know anime is not real but Pokemon has so many holes in it's story it's not even funny! POKEMON PROMOTES CLONING HENCE THE REASON WHY THERE ARE SO MANY NURSE JOYS AND IT ALSO PROMOTES SLAVERY!!

Well, considering the target age group I think that plot holes aren't exactly important to producers. I mean, hell, my little brother can barely keep track of the story in a one hour movie, much less a gigantic series like Pokemon.

Now, if they became pokemon trainers after they got their college degrees (ok, graduated from high school) then team rocket and the other idiots would be smart enough not to go after wimpy pikachu, but go after other, legendary pokemon.

And if Ash went to school he'd be smart enough to make pikachu evolve into a raichu.

I'll always love the game more. Pokemon died after Johto. The game plot died with B/W, which I bought only because pokemon is my childhood. Nuff said

If you read the "Adventures" manga saga, you would notice that characters do grow and also god damn evolve pokemons... but the anime it's another story all together, i don't even know how come it's still going.


If it's about pikachu never evolving and been stronger than most, explanation could be that it have a "luminos (maybe luminol, can't remember) ball". It's a, hard as fuck to get, item that make pikachu Special Attack 2 times stronger.


it's also needed to get the "Bolt tackle" (i'm also not sure about the name of that move)

I get it by catching 86 pikachus in emerald.

If you compare the new pokemon ash's voice with the old, you would notice that ash's voice is slightly deeper (after they changed the voice actors). I believe he has finally hit puberty...slightly grown from that 10 year old we all know.
