Baka-Updates is used for the anime version of this site. It came before the Manga-Updates part came into place. I think it would cause confusion if "Baka-Updates" was used, since it would be understood as the anime version of the site.

MangaUpdates might be better, since it's a bit easier without the (-) sign, and that's how the URL is, but Baka-Updates already has the (-) in its name. I guess the slightly lazier or rushed people could just use the name without the (-). ;)

Baka-Update since that's what I'm used to and MangaUpdate just seem so generic since there's two other sites with that spin-off.
