They also made another mistake labeling Moka and a Succubus and Kurumu as a Vampire XD
But they have improved since then. It was a while ago. I'm happy with how the second series is being handled so far, minus the naming of Kokoa and her bat (which they decided to call "batty" but tbh something like that was to be expected lol)

Indeed. I forgot the ISPs and servers...how stupid of me, tehe~
I know that company is in China(mangafox owner company NOEZ) but chinese don't have that fast internet so the servers and ISP must be in places where good net can be found. Which isn't as unlimited as some believe. xD

The big online readers most likely have also been repeatedly targeted but they simply ignored and adapted. The companies themselves are generally too small and fractured to afford to do much more than send notices and try to get the servers to cut off the readers. By going after the scanlators, they hope to cut off sources for high quality scanlations.
Sadly, this will not stop the worst online readers since it only affects a relatively small percentage allowing them to simply fall back on low quality house translated speed scans if less reputable groups don't do them first. As I said, scanlations will continue one way or another until a real alternative is provided.

And once again it goes back to.......they need to be shown it's worth the investment. And also that doesn't matter worth a damn. The one who owns the license has the right to make the call.

preemptively dropping a series because other groups got a C&D? how is that a proper reaction? RHS did a legally sound action by announcing that they were no longer in violation of the digital millennium copyright act essentially covering their asses. whats wrong with that, i think its the other way around.

The wrong that is that it still goes up on mangafox thus they still get their money from mangafox^^
The proper reaction is that they don't want to receive threats, not C&D, but legal threats that could instead also be a letter of suing them. After all they don't really have to give a warning, they are just being nice to do so.

It's sad when i prefer to watch the fansub version of a funimation "licensed" anime even after buying the anime because the translation was just so horrid and the dub was worse... ever since then I never bothered to buy from them again, Not that it isn't "worth investing" it's that they deliberately do a horrible job so that they can save money because of your attitude of "WE HAVE LICENSE WE DO WHAT WE WANT" that people watch/read alternative versions and don't bother buying their horrible translation... same concept with Viz... now I understand it's considered stealing but maybe if they put work into their actual product from the start they would've have gotten such a bad reputation and this would've never occurred

Whatever. This really isn't about what's going on with anime and Funimation though. Similar concept though.
