This year's 11th issue of Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine revealed on Tuesday that Gō Ikeyamada's Suki Desu Suzuki-kun!! romantic comedy manga will end in four more chapters. The manga will have a total of 88 chapters.

The story of the manga centers on four classmates who just entered the same junior high school together. On the first day of school, a boy named Hikaru Suzuki sees a talented girl named Sayaka performing lines from a drama on the school's rooftop, and he cannot take his eyes off her. Even as Hikaru becomes interested in Sayaka, his longtime friend Chihiro secretly pines for him. On top of that, a boy named Shinobu Suzuki — no relation to Hikaru — is falling for Chihiro.

The manga inspired an original anime DVD that was bundled with 2010's second issue of Sho-Comi. The manga has also inspired a spinoff novel project and a video game.

The manga has been running in Sho-Comi since 2008, and the 15th compiled book volume shipped in March. The manga series has more than 4.5 million copies in print. Besides Suki Desu Suzuki-kun!!, Ikeyamada also created the Uwasa no Midori-kun!!, Moe Kare!!, Get Love!! Field no Ōji-sama, and Ookami Nanka Kowakunai!? manga.

Whoot! biggrin

How exciting! I've been following everything I could get by Ikeyamada Go for years. The art! The cuteness! Bahaha.

Honestly, it's a bit hard to imagine Suki desu Suzuki-kun ending so soon, though. o.o

I always had the impression from the beginning that it would do an epic past-future-present time jump thing, for some reason... ehh.

But looking forward to it! Hope it doesn't prove unworthy, haha.

But why is the status still stated as "Ongoing" if it has ended?

I am looking forward to more scans! Have only started reading this series today, but I am quite in love with this series already and cannot wait to see what will happen to them when they got older!

'Cause the volumes are still not released yet, underneath that it says how many chapters completed though.

Well that's a series completely unrelated to this one.

Hello, I'm new to the site and fell in love with this series.
Is the book series only in Japanese? If so, what's an efficient way to learn written Japanese so I can buy the books and read them? Also, I was unaware of an anime DVD out?? Do you know of any sites that are selling it? biggrin
