ok, this may sound stupid, but kitchen princess just did
Spoiler (highlight to view)
it´s supposed to be a happy-go-lucky shoujo manga with typical shoujo characters and typical shoujo plot made for typical 12 year old shoujo manga reader and then... the love interest dies! it was obvious he wouldn´t get the girl since he was the older brother, the cool and intelligent student council president and was liked by the girl since they meet. But a shoujo-mangaka can´t just kill of the guy like that.
that was a really big shock for me since i always trusted in happy-go-lucky shoujo manga

EDIT: Ok, now this is to much
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the guys mom died to save her son and he forgot about ir. there was even the blood shown. in the nakayoshi! the mangaka should change her drawing stly, it doesn´t suit tragedy at all

ES
It was a great manga, but there were scenes that greatly disturbed me. I still shudder thinking about them.

there is one short story collection that really gave me the creeps. I was having nightmares for a week.
but the name already imply that. i shouldn't have tried to read hell season

Why did you try to read guro anyway? 0-o

i think there are many people who don´t know about guro

Also, a lot of people are curious and some guro are actually pretty interesting and thought-provoking.

I finished reading 'Welcome to the N.H.K' a bit back, now that is a seriously scary work of art in a real and subtly frightening way. Even now a couple of months after I've finished it I still think about it.

Onani master Kurosawa is another manga that is so thought provoking that I find I can't forget it.

Also 'Solanin' has kind of scarred me. Life is so fickle and this manga perfectly captures that in a way i've never seen another manga do.
I think the themes of underachieving or being outcast are scarier to me than gore and straight up horror.

The one I can remember at the top of my head is Bokura ga Ita.

The demon rape scene with Casca from Berserk. I hadn't been reading manga very long when I started reading Berserk and that shit fucked me up psychologically for a while.

I'm glad I didn't read past a few pages of the first guro manga I read yesterday. Very.

How old were you? The only thing from Berserk that really creeped me was those bee/wasp children when they were killing eachother and one kinda raped/killed one of em. It totally made my blood run cold.

One chapter of Complex ;A;
Was a nice BL quite entertaining.
Then out of nowhere there is a full on shota chapter with a kid who's about four. Just a random insert chapter, has no relation to the story whatsoever.
Shit scarred me for life, cannot understand how people enjoy shota AT ALL. And all remains of that chapter were quickly removed from my computer.
The memories still screw with me sometimes.

...but one thing i never could finish. i guess i stopped at page 30 or so. because it was soo insanely cruel and hard to take was [m]High School Girl in Concrete[/m] by uziga waita. i guess i have a pretty good idea why this is not on MU.

I'd heard of it, but could never bring myself to read it. It was based on true events, and I remember all the media buzz surrounding it when I was a kid. I could never bring myself to read Uziga's illustrated version of it.

Never read it, but now that I think about it, it does freak me out big time.
