Anybody here have the ps vita? How is it? I'm considering getting one.

I decided to wait till a version 2 with the hopes they would put in a higher Res screen.... but they haven't.... they also have very few games out for it that are worth anything(monster hunter may turn out 3ds only for example). Over all I would advise waiting for a few more games, and maybe an upgraded version of it(still have my hopes on a very unlikely ffx version )

Exactly. Wait for a revision. The current PSVita can definitely be made better. I still hope they add the option for tv/monitor out so that when I'm at home I can play on the big screen.

As for me, the only game remotely interesting is Persona 4 The Golden but I can live without it knowing that I've already finished the true ending on the PS2 a good while back.

Seriously, save your money. Nothing good comes out of being an early adopter. Wait for v2.

I have a ps vita and I find It awesome (smooth touch screen, ingame voice chat, ps suite and awesome graphics).
Not saying that is perfect (unable to use the web browser while ingame, expensive card price, no dlna, no hdmi output ).

Still, since It has a small catalog, If you already have a psp wait till v2.

PSP Vita has a OLED screen which is the best technology on the market today what do you mean better screen. Maybe a larger screen but the vita is already larger than the PSP or 3DS anyways. I have a Vita and very happy but for one thing the memory cards suck and over priced, lack of space on more affordable cards when the system has some much stuff to download and you need a card to do anything can be a heart break. Wallmart web site sells the 32 gig for $81 compared to everybody else for $100 if you want the best price but when you already dished $300 bucks on a system you need a card to do anything you get pissed. Other than that plenty of Vita games early on and PSP games for download is pretty nice, and it is comfortable with great controls that even feel right with shooters like the new resistance game. 5 hours battery life is short but considering how well the games look compared to the 3ds with about the battery life makes it a little better. Overall if you have the money get it if not wait for a price drop.

By comparison, the iPhone I'm currently using to make this post has a ppi of 326. The vita has a ppi of around 220. I don't think that's all too terrible myself, then again, I've yet to actually see it.

Oh I'm not saying it looks bad, I have no doubt it looks good. Just saying I'm not going to dish out near 350$s for a system that will be subpar by the time any of the good games come out.

Basically just gambling on the hope v2 will come out around the same time that there is an increase in games made for it. Also thanks to japan a new version might be more likely now. I mean all they had to do was make a different color option and sales almost doubled. Based on that, the idea that a hardware increase and/or a special edititon(like the darth vader one) will drastically increase sales seems more likely.... granted its all just speculation, but imo it seems like it might give them a little motivation for a second version once sales begin declining again.


Also the lack of monster hunter is very disturbing to me. Imo(and tons of others as well) mh was the best game available on psp. In fact it, the assassins creed mini, and the remake of ffx were my main reasons for fixating on the vita... now mh may not even show up, and ffx is just a remaster v.v
