There are some really good story lines for the yaoi genre and really nice scenes. It's a bit hard to find a good manga that isn't yaoi (or yuri, which i don't read) and good scenes. Any suggestions?

um...i almost don't know what to say to this. what exactly are you looking for? romance? love triangles? drama?
So you're saying you want heterosexual manga that is similar to the storylines (including sex) that yaoi have?
And if so, then something like Kimi wa Pet?

I know what you're saying. Most yaoi is empty and typically doesn't have anything new to offer.
You might like these mangakas: Yoneda Kou, Hidaka Shoko, Suzuki Tsuta
I would suggest this for good scenes, Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume o Miru but the art might not be your style.

I'm very sorry for being vague. I didn't know how to explain. But yes, I'm looking for hetero romance with similar storylines (including sex). Yep, most yaoi doesn't have anything new to offer
Also, thank you for the suggestions, definately going to check them all out.
P.S. luminousbrink: I kind of like that style

You'll have to quantify "good" a little better, because all I can tell is that you want a Yaoi manga that isn't Yaoi.
Or better yet, is the Yaoi part even relevant, or are you just looking for a good romance series?

Generally, yaoi is just repurposed smut. Have you tried the smut genre?

Yeah, I will have to agree more or less, since everyone might consider something else as "good" points within the storyline or plot. So, basically:
* Which genre are you looking for?
-> It has to be a romantic story, but should there also be some Smut elements?
-> The comparison with the Yaoi genre means, there should be some parts similar to it?
-> If so, then which parts exactly?
... And so on. ^^"
Aside from this - I just finished Mars yesterday. The drawing style matches the 90's, but the story was quite catchy and includes some well-executed drama parts, revolving around a romance main theme. Maybe it will be worth a look?

So you're not looking for yaoi? I'll move this to the general section, then.
If you're looking for het smut with a decent storyline, I'd suggest Yoshihara Yuki.
Also, please provide some info on what you consider a 'good story'. Your request is too generic.
