Hmm, interesting poll. If I went to Japan, I'd definitely want to go to an onsen. However, if money isn't an issue, I'll have to use the 24 hours to buy all the manga I want. Make my own private manga library with a few thousand series. Oh, but I guess I'd have to buy a building and shelves first to store it all.

I would get either electronics or spend my time in riding all the bullet trains.

Based on experience—I spent two weeks in Japan this fall!—my first destination would be BookOff for all the manga I could ever want(/fit into my bulging luggage) After that there would be time enough for delicious food and hot springs...

Only one option? D: I'd do pretty much all the above personally. Last time I went, I didn't have time to go to a department store. It was on our list of things to do but it didn't happen sadly. =(

Oh God, I've dream of going to different hot springs in Japan. I would probably spend a whole month hot spring hopping.

Seems like only 1% of the people are interested in maid cafes.

Matsuri.
But considering all the cash I've tossed into buying doramas and CDs/DVDs, I wouldn't mind having more of them come my way if money is no object. It's so bloody expensive; £10 for an album over here, but I wouldn't even get a single with the same amount over in Japan.

But you can flip the real estate later for funds.
The "money is no object" bit is more important to me than the location.
There's a lot of high performance sports cars that were only released in Japan, I'd buy as many used as I could, and arrange their export after. You could make a small fortune reselling them to American and European collectors who don't want the hassle of importing them themselves.
I'd buy some big shipping companies like Nippon Yusen or The Port Service.
I'd grab as many large tracts of rural land as I could.
I'd buy some smaller independent OEM parts makers for Toyota, Mazda,Honda, etcetera.
And finally and most importantly, I'd max out on Japanese Treasury Bonds.
Since I only have 24 hours before the trip ends and the "no issue" money disappears, I'd probably have to arrange everything in advance and spend the whole time signing papers.
But my life would be wonderful afterwards.

Oh. For some reason I thought C83 was supposed to be an emote for Homer Simpson
