I was wondering if anyone knew of a manga with a background couple? Or a background romance? I'm not explaining myself well haha. More like... a manga where there is a main couple, but then there's another couple with their own plot going on at the same time. And as the reader you're sort of like, "Oh wow. This couple is a lot more interesting. I wish they were the main couple!" Mmmm.

Sort of like Uo and Kureno from Fruits Basket, or any of the side pairings from that manga now that I think about. Or Yoko and Tsukahara from Love Roma or Sasayan and Natsume from Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. (Not to say that the main couples in those stories aren't interesting!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I MEAN HAHA).

Most people think the side couple in Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha. is more interesting apparently. (I don't really agree, but.)

Kare Kano - there is more than one side-couple that has its own moment of spotlight. If my memory doesn't fail me, then there are at least 2 other couples beside the main one, and each of them gets developed. It was one of the reaosons I loves this manga so much, because it didn't focus ONLY on the main couple. It's a great read, so I definitely recommend it!
