General Technical question about scanlating

This a general question about why there are scanlating groups skipping ahead of in chapters and volumes. I've seen it on not only on Chihayafuru ちはやふる but also Denpa Kyoushi　でんぱきょ うし and a couple of others? Is it because the scanlating is so far behind that a new group picks up from current JUMP or which ever magazine is the publisherconfused

How about asking those groups who are scanlating them? I am sure they would have their own reasons, and it's likely they would have explained them on their site/forum.
