-In my opinion, Lelouch didn't die because he became immortal after he destroyed his father??

At first I thought he didn't die because he got his father's powers but after discussing it with my friends I kinda came to the conclusion that he did die. For example, they said from a story telling perspective it wouldn't be right if he lived after he caused the deaths of all those people, many of whom deserved to live far more than he did. I think that's kinda true, he really did **** up quite a bit. If he didn't die because of Charles' powers it'd be kind of a cursed existence for him. But the possibility he lived can't be proven wrong so I guess it's up for us to guess at.

Yeah, he did so many evil thingS, and at first glance, you'll really think that he's a villain, a demon etc..
but when you think about it, he did all those things so that he'll be hated By everyone, in doing so, every nation will unite and peace Will be achieved..
Uhm, this is just my opinion, I really hope that he didn't die, so that there will be a possibility for R3..

The creators said he died about a year after the ending, just to end all the speculation and demands for another sequel. It is sad, but him dying really was the best way to end it. Anything else would have cheapened the entire series.

I watched this anime on TV while I was still a 5th grader, got hooked so I bought the cd.. I didn’t know that the ending was edited, so that’s the reason that after I told my friend that, he said that he don’t know..
