I'm not sure in total whether there are more guys or girls who read manga, but I would guess from my own experience that more girls read manga than watch anime, just because guys would rather think less and have the action thrown at them, while girls would like to imagine and think about what they are reading,(Plz dont see yaoi undertones in this)

and in general I see alot more girls at manga section then guys at book store (btw, me=guy)

I like anime but I prefer to read manga cuz my pc is not very friendly with videos, so my only choice is to read manga (wich i really enjoy)...

I'm just saying what I see, alot of guys won't say they read shoujo in a forum where a large numbers of males say shoujo suck. I never say no guys ever read Shoujo.

Then isn't it the same if that parents find out that their 14 years old daughter is reading Hentai?

It's not good if anyone who are below 16 years old read Yaoi anyway, excluding Shounen-ai. If a 14 years old get her hands on Yaoi, well it's the internet. People can get their hands on anything.

People seem to target Yaoi saying it's disgusting or whatever due to its explicit but I rarely see people complain about Ecchi or Smut or Hentai or Incest. In the end of the day, it's the malexmale relationship that truly bother people. If a particular Yaoi turns into a girlxguy relationship, people probably wouldn't say anything.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of parents would be more disturbed by homosexuality than heterosexual porn. While a lot of people accept porn many do not accept homosexuality. Not that they would be happy finding their daughter reading porn, but i still think yaoi has the higher shock value.

Well for one, I don't think any parent would not be shocked to find their underage child(male or female) to be reading porn/hentai/yaoi/yuri or any other explicit material.
It probably is the malexmale relationship that disturbs people but thats most likely due to the mass amounts of yaoi. Take into consideration theres under 100yuri titles on Baka-Updates while there is well over 1500 yaoi titles. Even if u added yuri with hentai, smut and mature together. There combined number is less than yaoi titles.

You can't compare Yuri to Yaoi since previously Yuri is more geared toward males. Only recently that there are Yuri which geared toward females. A large amount of Yaoi are oneshots Doujinshi. But the amount of Yaoi is irrelevant. Not everyone reads Yaoi, and not every Yaoi readers read all Yaoi. Just because there's a large number of Yaoi doesn't mean it will force everyone to read. Just because a large number of singers are rap singers, don't mean everyone will like rap. There are classical music everywhere but I don't see everyone likes classcial music. If you dont' like it, dont' read it. No one if forcing people to read it.

Ok people, we won't persecute anyone. someone has to vote choice three. Because according to a manga called Inter Sexuality, one out of every 2000 people are IS...........

I never said anything about large amounts of yaoi forcing people to read it. I merely said there is a large amount of yaoi, what i meant by this was that it'd be more common for people to find offensive yaoi compared to offensive yuri.
