Sorry, this might be a repeat, but I didnt find it when I went to search forums. Just wondering what mangas you guys think would work if they were actually made into a live action movie or TV series. I was thinking Berserk and Gantz could work in live action.

I agree with Berserk, but such a movie would be have to have a budget of epic proportions to be as great as the series. (I think)

But I also think Claymore, Gantz, and especially Shin Angyo Onshi.

I think Claymore would be good. But I can really imagine how amazing the first trailer for Gantz would be.

i am not a fan of movies with too much CGI, so not gonna say Gantz for this one...

ummm....Take on Me?

laugh laugh

so i suppose....a Better Battle Royale movie would be nice, it'd suck as a tv show tho.

MPD Psycho would be the best bet i know of, with todays audience and such.

Btw, i am pretty sure that its a Repeat thread somewhere....

I remember a thread about movies into manga that strayed into talking about manga into movies, but not a thread specifically about manga into movies.

A Beck live action would be pretty awesome, especially if they could find actors that can actually play. It'd have to be done by Japanese actors though to have the full effect.

An Eden television series would be pretty sick, though it wouldn't be the same if it was edited to a serious extent.

A shin angyo onshi tv series or movie would be awesome, though I imagine it would be hard to find an actress willing to dress up as Sando none .

A doable series could be PlanetES, but it's hard to say.

That would be AWESOME!!!! The only question is who would play Baki? Or old man Hanma for that matter? (the colonel is obvious- Chuck Norris)

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, would not need a big budget, just scenic locations and a good touch for every day life. The anime OVAs turned out nice as well.

Kare Kano could do with a completed adaptation.

Akkan Baby could be a quite interesting and controversial series.

Noritaka has a nice mix of drama, comedy and action. Would probably be fun. smile

Besides that I only saw expensive series I would want done, not likely.

As for movies, I don't really watch those...

I'm really getting upset om how movies on comics aren't staying true to their respective comics (looking at you Batman).
I was thinking Elfen Lied would work well. Arms wouldn't be too to complicated to.
I going out on a whim here, but Highschool of the Dead would make a nice action horror.
I have to say though, a lot of these would be way too long to one proper movie. They'd have to be more series.

Second Elfen Lied. They could make two movies, one of the first arc and one of the second.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
But it'd suck to see Bando die so soon in the second

Highschool of the Dead would likely do well, but I'm afraid that too many people would shout "Day/Dawn of the Dead" ripoff... even though its got a much better story plot IMO....

Black Lagoon could be any of the action movies made recently and non-otakus wouldnt know the difference. but then thats BL's charm.
