You're getting very close to the start of plot. I think things actually start happening around volume 6.

So yes, it does have a plot.

The Story arcs start at the end of v06 and into v07. The previous volumes were basically about character introductions and showing you their abilities in a more relaxed manner than most other Shounen manga do. Cause after reading the story up to where it is now... I actually like how the daily life chapters introduced the characters and their abilities. Because when the sudden change to the harsh reality of most Shounen manga happens within the manga. It really makes you look back and think of all the carefree days that he'd want to protect. Which you don't really get to experience with most Shounen manga.

The introduction arc spans manga chapter 1-61 (anime ep 1-19, 27-33, 66-73).

It's followed by (up to current) three story arcs:
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Kokuyo arc (ch 62-81 and ep 20-26), Varia arc (ch 82-135 and ep34-65) and Future arc (since ch 136 and since ep 74).

So yes, plot is coming soon.

Please don't needlessly revive such old topics for no reason. It's been 6 months already.

Whoops, sorry. I only saw the topic on my "new posts" list. Didn't noticed that the original question was that old >.>

yes, actually KHR has a pretty solid plot.
but it only starts after their daily life arc ends, which is about the first 30 episodes of the anime? (i forgot!) well anyways its before the mukuro arc.
i think the mangaka planned it this way to get the main characters (as well as the secondary characters)'s personalities more detailed to get into the main plot, which is based on vongola's internal as well as external battles.
what i love about KHR is that they have an arc completely based on the future. in normal animes, we fans just want to see the main characters' future selves (only for like a few minutes of the last episodes tho...)
the mangaka actually does pretty good in the develops of the characters after 10 years, and of course the mystery of the future tsuna is there too... bigrazz
