This year's 15th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine announced on Friday that Ryuta Amazume's Nana to Kaoru manga will end next month. The last chapter will appear in Young Animal's 16th issue, which will ship on August 12. The final chapter will feature an opening page in full color.
Nana to Kaoru launched in 2008 in Young Animal Arashi, then switched publication to Young Animal in 2009. The manga's 17th volume shipped in late April in Japan.
The manga inspired an OVA, which shipped with the sixth volume in March 2011, and two live-action movies. A year later in the September of 2012, Nana to Kaoru got its second live-action film: Nana to Kaoru: Chapter 2
Amazume also wrote a spinoff manga called Nana to Kaoru: Black Label, which ended in April, 2014.
Nana to Kaoru follows a boy named Kaoru who still has erotic feelings for his childhood friend and fellow high school student Nana.
