As for my prom, it was one of the most memorable moment in my life. My friends and I were so emo and we all sang together the "Friends Forever" song at the end of the prom. ahh..highschool T__T

Yes, I went to prom.

My 8th grade year we had the Junior High Prom, and it was fun, but the teacher who literally went around with a ruler and made sure all couples were at least six inches apart was a little ridiculous. It was only semi-formal, didn't cost much, and they served snacks and soda in the cafeteria.

My 11th grade year I attended my Junior Prom and my boyfriend's Senior Prom. They were a week apart for two different schools. I enjoyed my boyfriend's, but hated mine. His was nice and had good, nice food and a good DJ. Mine was tacky, they served old dried out pasta, and the DJ literally played nothing but rap all night (no slow songs? ~_~;; ) and our school combined the Junior and Senior Proms. To bring a student from another school we each had to get permission from our schools saying that we were good students and not delinquents. My prom was expensive for tickets, but I don't know about his, because he insisted on paying for them, so I refused to let him pay half for mine like he wanted to. Regretted going to mine, but glad I went to his.

My 12th grade year I skipped my prom, I had learned my lesson. A friend asked me to his prom (another school again) so he would have a date. Funny thing is that he asked me and his ex-girlfriend asked my ex-boyfriend to prom that year. Anyways, his prom was nice just like my boyfriend's had been, so I guessed it was just my school's prom that sucked. I will never regret not going to my prom that year, though I heard from a friend that it was much nicer than the year before.

But I was in JROTC my 12th grade year and went to the Military Ball (it was a requirement and if you didn't go, you had to write a report) and that was nice too, so I guess it was just our school's Prom that sucked. Military Ball didn't cost anything unless you brought someone who wasn't in our JROTC, so I paid for my boyfriend to come. If you didn't bring a date, you got paired up with the other people who went solo because there was alot of etiquette things like introducing yourself and your date to the host(s) and the guys holding chairs for the girls and standing when the girls stood. We had the whole week before that where we had etiquette classes, including table manners, and they were watching us the whole time at the Ball. I know that sounds boring/difficult, but it is only for the first half of the night. After dinner, they had a DJ and it was so much more fun than Prom because these were people you saw every day in class and in homeroom (all JROTC classes had homeroom together in the gym, no matter what grade) not people from school that you never even saw because the school was so big. It felt more intimate, like a party with friends, than going to Prom with all the people you didn't know.

After I graduated, I went to two more Military Balls with friends from lower grades. When you invited a date, they were your responsibility, so if they caused trouble you got reprimanded and points off your grade. Alumni of the JROTC were common/popular at the Ball because you knew that they wouldn't get you in trouble, plus they'd know all the etiquette stuff.

I went to prom my sophmore, junior, and senior year. XD (Freshmen aren't allowed to attend.)
But at my school we had 3+ major school dances/year.

I always said how I hate doing dress up (for example the dress theme for the prom was vintage). And I've never been into the idea of the whole prom aspect of the thing (maybe it was because I found most of the women in my school to either be slutty or just too stuck up, either really dumb or really smart and boring, no middle ground.) So I told myself that I'd rather go to pub with 2-3 of my mates who also didn't go. I think I had a much better time there.

The problem was I only really knew people from my year, and I'm hardly on good terms with people from the year below me so I didn't want to go into an event where I would see a bunch of them.

BUMP..

Yes, I was like, 16 at that time, I was also a part of the street dance performance there, lol..

After our Prom, which was held in a hotel,
We drove from bar to bar (good thing a classmate of mine had borrowed his parents car and he had a license), I could enter because I was with an 18yrs classmate, the guard didn‘t really check for our Id‘s, just him, (but we needed to bribe every guard on each bar, haha)

It was really fun, I was even able to pick up 2 girls at the same time, but they left me after just a few minutes for... I don‘t know, maybe because I was more focused on them than dancing, (I think I was a bit touchy)

It was fun, yeah,
But I hate alcohols, but, what was served to us was really good, still hate it though..

I did attend but it sucked because the food the caterer served had all gone bad. The really nice thing for me there was the ice sculpture.
