Quote from Dr. Love
If you transport Jesus into today's world, he'd probably be some hippie anarchist I'm sure. :]
But doesn't anarchy imply that he wants a total state of lawlessness, without a supreme power or enforced authority? I think that's the opposite of what he was trying to teach folks.
I would like to point out that early Chrisitans taught submission to the government uness it was a direct contradiction to the teachings of Jesus. So, if his followers taught (and I'm talking his disciples and their contemporaries, not three or four generations later), then chances are, he wasn't an anarchist.
Quote from The Enemy
Never meet the guy but after reading the bible I'll admit that while some of his miracles were nice his personality left much to be desired. He was moody (to say the least) and treated his mother poorly, frankly he was a jerk.
Okay, Jesus was pretty moody (but I would be too in some of those situations) and there are times when there were signs of strained family relationships, but I would like to point out that His first miracle (changing water into wine) was because His mommy told him to and one of the seven things He said on the cross was meant to provide for His mother after he was dead.
