Whats with this string of pointless topics?! This angers me so much, and I refuse to take part in this stupidity.

...

CLEMENTINES FTW! biggrin

We have random people that walk up and just pick the lemons off our tree. I don't mind, its just kind of weird to look outside the window and see a person on my lawn...some people ask though before they pick the lemons. One time a person offered to pay, but I said that I didn't care. When my parents got home there were like "geez! you could have gotten a couple dollars off of them!" laugh

My mom doesn't like us wasting food, but she is more into "well its better than wasting your calories on it!"

That might be why people usually grow stuff in their backyard instead of on their front lawn. Think of the average passerby who goes by your house on a daily basis, being taunted by that lemon tree... day after day after day. lol

Oh, and btw I seriously doubt a lemon or two are a lot of calories... Don't blame the lemons...

At first I was debating between oranges and lemons since I just assumed that clementines went under oranges. Then I remembered to take into consideration their derivatives and not just the fruit itself. Upon recalling such an important thing I was struck by the realization that lemons are the superior fruit.

lemon candy > orange candy
and
lemonade > most other drinks > orange juice > root beer

smile wink grin

you sound like a philosopher or something...

i do like lemons but i'd have to go with grapefuite b/c when i was a kid that was about the only fruit i'd eat (besides an apple) and add sugar to grape fruit and its SSOOO good.

CLEMENTINES!!!!! The most amazing fruit in the world, delicious as well as fun to try to peel all in one piece, which is one thing I can actually do. along with eating the middle out of a pretzel. okay, thats a bit random, but yeah, clementines.....they should make a clementine chapstick....

Love 'em all, but gotta say I usually prefer grapefruit whenever I can get it. A good red pomelo is great, lime water is really refreshing, and a spoonful of lemon and honey in the morning is just wonderful. Healthy too.

Call me a rebel, but i'm gonna have to go with kumquats. I mean, seriously! Not only is the name unbearably fun to say (yep, that's what I do on my rainy days) but they're also magically delicious!! biggrin Plus there's no peeling necessary.. MAJOR BONUS!!!

Whoa, you learn something new every day.
I had to google that. Never seen it or tried it so I can't comment on taste.

Haha yeah, kumquats ARE indeed a rather underrated fruit. They're like the indie rock of the fruit world... But trust me, the taste is enough to make you sink to your knees and bow down to their citrus-filled godliness...

only the best way to enjoy citrus fruit. just add alcohol biggrin
i'm a lemon person myself and when not adding it to drinks, like it raw.
the sweets are better aswell: lemon bon bons and lemon sherberts are the best!

Lemon + Salt + Beer or Tequila. Preferably a nice cold beer.

I don't drink but I'd probably prefer lemons by themselves and not with a cup of tequila... Citrus fruits also are a very good source of vitamin C and most of them taste great by themselves. biggrin
