Ho man, Heath Ledger totally pwned the movie. My favorite line: "You wanna know how I got these scars?". ZOMG I must say that I was quite satisfied after seeing this.

I saw this the other day and loved it! apparently it was 2 and a half hours, but I didn't even notice the time. every single actor in that movie did a spectacular job. it was so well done - not just for a comic book movie, but for any movie.

Joker (to Batman): You complete me.
I definitely lol-ed at that. hahah.

Excellent movie.
Joker:
Why so serious?

So, in a way, I knew your friends better than you did. Wanna know which ones were cowards?

When I heard those lines I about fell out the chair cause they were so fscking amazing.

I already said it before, but the pencil scene was the best.

Others:

"... *5 seconds of silence* I just want my phone call." <--- That made me laugh, and it was so well done, the bomb I mean. The minute I saw the phone go off I was "oh shit". XD

"So in a way, I knew your friends better than you did. Wanna know which ones were cowards?" He's so EVIL you can't help but laugh. XD

(after boat scene) "You can't trust anyone these days." (or something similar)

To Harvey Dent: *sits down dressed as nurse* *minute of silence* Hi.

Mafia: You think you can just take half our money and walk away?
Joker: Yes.

His way to cause chaos were great. "Kill Colin Reese in 60 minutes or I blow up the hospital."

And how he explodes the hospital and just shrugs it off. XD

There were others. Let me tell you, I didnt wanna watch this movie because I haven't watched Batman Begins, and I fell asleep first half of Iron Man, but this was utterly amazing.

I liked how when the Hospital didn't fully explode, he started messing witht he detonator like "Damn piece of crap, work!". Then it finally does and he just walks away.

The movie was pretty epic in some parts. Ledger's performance will probably go down as the best of his career and probably the best Joker since the characters creation, I heard even Jack Nicholson was impressed by it.

It's interesting to note, also note that the movie has kicked The Godfather off of the number one position on the top 250 films as voted by users on the International Movie Data Base website. You can view that here.

Just watched the film, and OMFG its amazing. Epic on the most extreme of porportions. As everyone said, Heath Ledger's performance was brilliant, truly worthy of playing the part of arguably the most distinguishable Batman villain ever. If he doesn't get a billion awards for his performance I'll be disappointed.

Since a bunch of people listed them, my favorite Joker moments:
The bomb scheme with the boats --> just truly evil.
The pencil trick --> just wowed me
The nurse costume --> Can any other serious super-villain pull that off?
"I'm going to kill the bus driver" then the bus comes crashing into the other guy
Just how he singlehandedly tore Gotham apart.

Aside from the Joker's awesomeness, I liked the way they visualized two-face. I especially like the fact that he was missing the eyelid. I thought the batmobile was cool, but the bike pwns major ass. At least I'm sure he has spare bat-mobiles (though a new model would be cool.) The ending would have been a bit better if they showed Bruce bleeding from the gunshot, overshadowed by the bigger bullet he took for Gotham as a whole, but I guess you can't get everything. To be honest, I thought they were going to pull off a Marvel style secret ending, since I expected Gordon's daughter to play a bigger role than the son (I never even knew Gordon had a son).

Wow! Heath Ledger did no wrong as the Joker, well he did, but nothing wrong portraying the character!! He was outstanding!
And the beautifull way the movie was done makes me so sad that my favorite hero, Spider-man could not have such success in his real life action movies no
But kudos to the cast and creators of the Dark Knight, im no Batman fan but I will gladly buy that movie when it comes out.
The first one still sucks though bigrazz
But this movie beats all other superhero movies I think... I dunno, Ironman was good too but... hmmm... tough call laugh

I just saw the film (in IMAX). It was unbelievably amazing. I can't even think of anything to say about it other than it was incredible. I can't think of a single way they could have made a better Batman movie.

I'm going out on a "limb" and saying The Dark Knight will be the movie of the year. Easily the best movie so far this year, and the best Batman movie, ever. Heath Ledger was brilliant. I mean, the movie as a whole, and the actors as a whole (Christian Bale is definitely one of my favorites) was great, but the Joker stole the show. I'm not going to say anymore about him because I've said enough in the Jack vs. Heath, Joker thread.

The movie was great. The story has all the elements. You'll be at the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next (mainly looking for what Joker would do next). It was a little lengthy, and it did pile things on when you might think the movie was over. However, the things they added to the movie was so good that I really didn't care. Hell, I wouldn't have complained if they made the movie 3 hours (at least not if they kept up the pace).

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Probably the only downside to this movie is not the movie itself, but the fact that we won't get to see Heath Ledger take another stab at the Joker. I got the feeling that Nolan wanted to make another Batman movie with the Joker, but now that Heath died, you got to wonder if it would be dishonorable to try to find another actor to play the Joker after Heath did such a wonderful job.

The logical thing would be to end the series now before Nolan messes it up, but I think we are going to get at least one more Batman movie. The ending didn't necessarily make a third movie imminent, but it certainly laid out the foundation for what I would think would be another great Batman movie. All I could do now is wait for a few years and hope for another one (and watch The Dark Knight again at the iMAX).

I am a miser and hate spending money in the cinema but the movie was well worth the overpriced tickets – I saw it twice, once on opening day and again today. On Friday I had a terrible seat and had to crane my neck upwards to see the screen but no matter how uncomfortable I was during the previews, I don’t think the position detracted from my experience of the movie at all. I soon became so engrossed in the movie that I didn’t notice my friends [who were equally engrossed] spilling half of my popcorn on the floor… in fact, I didn’t even notice until they told me after we exited the cinema [though, maybe I am just completely unaware of my surroundings].

I must say, I wasn’t expecting such a good performance out of the late Heath Ledger – I thought the praise he received from critics were because he died. Oh, how wrong I was! I was worried that the movie would be one of those ugly mashes of big-named Hollywood stars and the movie would suffer but all the actors gave a brilliant performance. I feel that the money I spent on going to ‘Hellboy 2’ earlier last week was wasted [how on earth did I convince myself to go to that movie, the only redeeming quality was the art/creature design]--- I could have used that money to go to the Dark Knight again!

I'm sorta tired of the "Heath Ledger" crap. It was a great movie, sure, I'll give you that, and yes he did a good job on Joker's part. But seriously, if Christian Bale died instead of Heath Ledger, I guarantee everyone would talk about Christian Bale's role not Heath Ledger. Also 1 major let down in the movie, were the fight scenes. Very unclear. Too slow. And horribly planned.

one of the thing that i would never ever EVER forgive the director/producer of this movie, however, is the fact that they actually dared to LET A PERFECTLY REFINED LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO BE SMASHED MERCILESSLY AND BEYOND REPAIR FOR A TINY SCENE OF LESS THAN 10 SECONDS mad mad mad

I'm sure it was a Murcielago, not gallardo. Much more expensive btw.

Except for the fact that Bale was only decent while Ledger was almost as good as you can get.
