I don't really hate it.
For me; overall, my enjoyment of the book was "lukewarm."
So, it was alright.

I'm STILL debating whether to read Eclipse. I've only read the first 2 books, and none of them really interest me. I wish she would have become a goddamn vampire by the end of the 2nd book, but noooooo they need to hold out with more brooding and ghey angsty romance =/ (im a guy btw)

I was laughing hard for the first half of the book. The whole was entirely predictable, but I nonetheless really enjoyed it for what it was. There was a lull in the third quarter of the book, but it didn't drag on as long as I thought it would, for which I was thankful.
My verdict on the series as a whole is that it is teen-pop fluff, but still candy. Like cotton candy, which you can get as much as you want, but even if you wad it up into a small, hard ball, you're still eating nothing. An apt metaphor, I think. The whole is about 2500 pages long, but there isn't much substance there. Very enjoyable, however. Like candy.
As to Stephenie, I believe she has potential. The third book showed me this in the tight pacing and good characterization it had. I'll be checking up on her novel "The Host" and we'll see about that. She developed the skill to make a story work and fleshed out many characters to make them interesting. I'll be looking forward to see if she can bring up her writing style to a higher level, as well.
Now, let's see...
That was too good. I was laughing all the way. Really, is this marketed towards the 14 year old female? The innuendo was off the charts.
All in all, a good book. I give it a 7/10 for literary quality and a 9/10 for an enjoyable read. Good stuff and I'm always looking forward to more.

- Tantric sex!
- We find out Edward is a wife beater!
- Vampire teen pregnancy!
- Pedophilia on the part of Jacob!
- The blond jokes and Emmett's ribbing should have had more development.
- The ending makes it obvious there's going to be more of this series.
- Remember kids : blood is highly nutritious. If they can drink it, so can you!
Food for thought :
- Do Edward and Bella have sex at night because his penis sparkles in sunlight?
- Since their bodies are well toned, I can assume they have abs made of marble. So when they have sex, and they're rubbing over each other, does it tickle? "Honey, could you lift a bit? Your abs are tickling me".

Well, my opinion is...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
to unrealistic. Yes, vampires are unrealistic in the first place, but we always had a sense of, *this could happen to you* or *what if...* but this one? eh. plus, it had less moments with edward and I kinda predicted the jacob-imprint-on-ness thing. I bought it out of loyalty but I didn't love it. I was simply... satisfied. kinda disappointing.

It was riddled with problems, but the biggest one was there were way too many deus ex machinas. I mean, sure, a few a nice to make happy endings, but there were just too many to be believable anymore. Everything worked out too perfectly. Stephenie developed all this wonderful angst and tension and conflict in the other books, and then didn't resolve it in a satisfying way. It was disappointing.

What.The.Hell. Too happily ever after for me(heck, the last chapter was even named that!). To think that jake imprinted on the baby!!!?? That is so wrong in my books >.> I was hoping he imprinted on someone else, idk....jessica! or someone other than the BABY!
Was disappointed.

I didn't hate it but I also didn't like it.
It was just too happy and predictable. I was hoping for more especially since it was the last one but I was really dissatisfied. After spending so many years reading this series, I feel a bit disappointed and rather sad that it ended that way.

I'm on page 600. Well, I've actually been on that page for about two weeks now. I can't go on. It's getting on my nerves >.> And by the look of these reviews, I probably won't continue with it. It's kind of a disappointment. With the previous books, they were so good that I wasn't able to put them down. With this one, however, it feels like I have to force myself to turn the page =/

there should've been a battle, where all of the werewolves should be killed (i dislike them immensely for some reasons...) and the baby should've been killed too when bella miscarriage, since i REALLY hate babies
common, cliche, fluffy, corny, predictable...instead of happily ever after, i want an addition chapter on the life of the couple after the battle, since i luv it when plain people gawk at bella's beauty

Don't forget the spin off. The whole story is going to be retold once again from Edward(well for twilight as least, not sure about the rest of the books)

I tried to read Twilight but shortly discovered i couldnt really handle the deep seated psyche of a female. Guys Are generally striaght forward with everything they do. If a guys horny he has sex if he wants something he goes for it. But women they're so twisted in their thought patterns especially when it comes to sex
