Yes, except the anime only goes to a certan chapter, can't remember which one, and then skips to the ending. Still a good watch though but VERY similar.

As others have said, it's a good anime in it's own right, but the manga is much better.
Personally, I'd love to see an anime adaptation of Ai Kora as I think it would lend itself perfectly to the format.
