Hey, wats with these http:/tinyurl.com/ user posted images? Everytime I open a thread where someone has one in their sig, my Malware software goes haywire. Does this happen to anyone else?

First off, what antiviruses/anti-spyware programs are you using? Never had this problem 0_o...
My only (random) explanation for this is that sites containing malware can be easily hidden in tinyurl links, and the antivirus can't use its list of harmful sites to check that one, so they also added tinyurl to the list of harmful sites for convenience. (...did that make sense?)
Doesn't seem too logical (since it could check the site it redirects) but afterall, I'm not too sure of how stuff works, so it's just a random guess.
Try looking around on the antivirus' control panel, and I think it should have a "trusted sites" list. Try adding tinyurl to that and see if it works, or try googling for "insert-antivirus/antispyware-name tinyurl issues" or something along the lines.

my problem is not about the settings of my spyware, but rather the questionable content of tinyurl.com...i use zone alarm and it rarely ever block any website i tried to access, so when it does, i'm curiously to what the website is about
