It's not like I don't care about those in mangas TOTALLY... But I gotta agree that Grim from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is my favorite... Although Mandy would've made a better grim reaper than him... Grim's really funny ^^_

My favourite ever is Ryuk from Death Note. The only other manga with shinigami I've read is Bleach so out of them it would be Tōshirō Hitsugaya or Byakuya Kuchiki.

I haven't really been able to find a grim reaper of any form in manga that compares to Death from Terry Pratchett's Diskworld series. Sorry. But Death owns.

I have to new favorite Grell SutcIiff from Kuroshitsuji!!!! Death wears red! Grell cracks me up both in the anime and manga.

Lapan from D Senjou no Alice is pretty funny, in a stupid sort of way.

Then again, I don't read many manga involving shinigamis in anything more then a passing thing to kill or avoid.

She is quite excellent. I'd also have to include all the shinigami angels from the Kurohime series. Oh, and the reaper from Type 90's Angel Drop.
