Too hard. I want flying/teleportation, elemental control, weapon handling, super intelligence, and the fireball power. Voted for weapon handling in the end, thuogh.

Mind reading: Would be fun at first but later on it wouldn't be because I believe that all people need to have some privacy. Knowing whatever a person is thinking wouldn't be so fun in the end (that's what I belive anyway)

Immortality: Definitly not. Well in most mangas anyway, immortal people goes insane or just want to find a way to die. And seing the people you care about getting old when you alone stays the same wouldn't be fun at all.

There are some intresting alternatives like teleportation, invisibility, super intelligence, element of fire/wind/water etc. Still my choice would be Summoner. If I want to fly I summon a dragon or some other bird beast. If I want to be fast on ground or in water I just summon the beast necessary to accomplish those needs. Otherwise just having a pet dragon or beast dog wouldn't be to bad =).

Well, as has already been said, the two best are immortality and super intelligence. One gives you all the time in the world to acquire the others, the other gives you the means to research methods to acquire the others.

Before choosing, however, I'd make sure I knew exactly what I was getting. Surely we all remember the story of the man who wishes for eternal life but forgets to add eternal youth, with horrible results. Immortality doesn't necessarily imply all-encompassing regeneration or invulnerability, just that you won't die. Anyone feel like being an immortal quadriplegic? Also, assuming your body remains eternally youthful, could the same be said of your mind? Would you be subject to Alzheimer's as you grew older? If you're immortal and your head gets blown to pieces or you're incinerated, what happens?

Then, of course, assuming everything works exactly the way you would want it to, there are still the requisite issues regarding immortality. There's the matter of having to watch your loved ones die off while you stay young, of having to uproot yourself and move every several years lest people notice that you don't seem to age (although in this day and age that would be less of a problem, for a while people might just think you're having work done).

There are less obvious complications surrounding super intelligence, aside from being completely unable to connect with or relate to any other human being, because to you everyone around you is a drooling idiot. Unless of course, you could figure out a way to make others super intelligent.

I'd probably go with super intelligence, assuming it comes with all the expected aspects that grave unit mentioned, like unaided computational skills, photographic memory and recall, raw creativity and problem-solving capacity, etc.

time manipulation. can't believe time manipulation wasn't added. maybe it's too powerful. anyways, slowing time, stopping time, speeding time up (for classes), time traveling, it's the best ability i can think of. perfect for test taking and homework in general, heheh. and with slowing/freezing time teleportation and superspeed are not necessary. pretty damn cool if you ask me.


alzheimer's is not a mental disease. you won't get alzheimer's if your body has eternal youth.

i would go with super speed. it's by way the safest choice and it's quite handy. moving from a to b without stupid delay, awesome. for my 5 minutes more sleep every morning

all the other things are mostly either just plain stupid (kamehameha anyone? wanna destroy a city or what) or they animate you to do stupid things. don't wanna know what all those fucked up minds in the world are thinking and doing.. and if i could, i most likely would try to find out >_>

super intelligence would be scary i guess. sometimes it's just great to be a little stupid, makes life so much easier (well, as long as you're somewhere in the middle)

e: thinking a little further.. guess i would pass on everything. would take the life long pension for free, neither too much money nor too little

it you chose super intelligence, can't you then just invent some of the other abilities? ie super speed, flying, x-ray, etc.

Potential overuse would be a problem. If you spend 2 hours a day moving at 24 times the normal time rate, you would theoretically be aging about twice as fast as everyone around you from the first use on. You're also assuming you can interact normally with other objects, or 'bring them up to your speed'. How would you breathe if the air around you is frozen in time?



I stand corrected, but the general question still stands. Brain cells typically don't divide or regenerate, and since all cells normally have a finite lifespan, you would want to ask the question of whether or not your brain would essentially rot as you aged, even if all the other tissues in your body stayed eternally young.

Being really smart can screw someone up mentally. You think much more, and most people wouldn't be able to handle that. Super intelligence also does not mean you have the materials to create whatever you want either.

I would actuall pick a couple:
Teloportation
Weapon Abilties of anykind
Contoling elements
Immotality
Mind Techniques (mind contol, emotion control, mind reading, intelligance, etc.)
Magic use (spells and such)
and controling of animals

I think the vector abilities from elfen lied would suffice.

Immortality: If I were to choose it, I would grieve over my loved ones' death for eternity, so no thanks

Mind reading/control: even if I can switch it on/off, I don't want to disturb my images of others I might be wrong but it's right for my heart.

Super intelligent has some backfire as well, but if I were that intelligent then I would know how to live peacefully with it

In the end time manipulation is the best for me

I would take being able to teleport as long it is like you just think of a destination and decide to appear there. I've always like the shunpo concept or dbz's instant transmission. I mean just being in a bad situation and poof your back somewhere your safe. Get into a fight with someone, could you imagine teleporting around a person in circles to where it appears there are multiples of you? Yeah it treads into the realm of super speed but if its controlled by thought then you could theoretically teleport as fast as your mind could come up with a spot to go to next. The teleport could be about as good as flight since you can teleport to the same spot in the sky to the point where you may as well be floating or flying.

Immortality, but only if there was a way to disable it if needed. I don't want to be floating around in space 2 billion years after the earth is gone...

I choose all of them because there no rule saying i can't chose them all or i need/allow to chose just One. (the loop hole in this poll is that the question is too vague so ppl can easy chose more then one)

Question/Self Explanation that come to my mind when i see the poll:
1.) Mind Reading or Control over Minds: both of these is part of Psychic ability beside seeing the future so why is here?

2.) Flying or Teleportation: When say you flying, how fast to do want ppl to fly.
speed of sound? light?

3.) Regenerate: how fast you want regenerate? super fast like in Full Metal Alchemist or like 3x3 Eyes (which depend on damage)

4.) Psychic or Telekinesis: Telekinesis mean move things with your mind

5.) Turn thing into different substance or a form ( Ice, Gold, Rock, Frog, Bug, Money, etc... ): Think Alchemist and Bio-Chemistry (like in Full Metal Alchemist)

6.) Super Strength: How strong? like superman or like Atlas (A Greek mythology figure that holding up the earth)?

7.) Super Speed: How fast? sound? light? (i was i thinking of Flash that can run at the speed of light, which can made him go thourght soild object and travel back in time aka:Time travel back and fore)

8.) Immortality: the ability not to die but can he be hurt and fell pain? Elves from "lord of the Ring" are Immortal unless kill in which they die, vampire in many movie/ novel are Immortal but still can be kill mean they can die. 3X3 Eyes has Immortal and they feel pain when they die or cut up, ya they will die/come back to life/die when in the void of space (it happen in 3x3 eyes)
So basic Immortality will not last forever, everything in this universe has a life line that will die out. like the sun for example,it will burn out in billon of year in furture.

9.) Fireball, Beam, Blast, Laser, or a Kamehameha: When i look at this, i say cool Energy attack, hehe

10.) Shapeshifter (SS) or Camouflage (C):
(SS): what shape can you allow to change into? people?animal?Object? any size or power (gain when tranform) restriction. like for an example: if you tranform into superman, will you have all his power and weakness or you only look like him?

(C): to turn Invisible (aka: Invisibility)

11.) Elemental of a chose ( Fire, Ice, Wind, Water, Lightning, etc...):superpower or magic, or both?

12.) Super Intelligence: meaning smart --> IQ, wisdoms, or Experiences ?

13.) Able to handle swords, arrows, spears, or any epic weapons like samurais, spartans, ninjas, knights, etc... : sound like a normal ability giving time and training any human/person can use these but i was thinking of Hiraga Saito from "Zero no Tsukaima" hehe

14.) X-ray Vision: Weak (me thinking out loud) in combat, only use for non-combat. mostly likely ppl who want this ability is either pervert,support Solider, or a medic.

15.) Invisibility: Temporarily or Permanent. (if Temporarily how long does it last?) When Invisible, can you touch or be touch by other?

16.) Summon Dragons, Beasts, Mythical Creatures, etc... : finally a Straight forward ability that that i got nothing to talk about because it easy to understand.
