Lol.. yeah. Redwall is actually about tons of animals..but the first book I read from that series was "The Long Patrol" which was about the rabbits... and Salimandastron..? Or whatever that huge mountain was called.

Yeh... her works are really explicit.. like, I was weirded out by her cherry-tree-like back... because she's been whipped so much. o_o;;

you should try to find his short stories. the elephant vanishes. great stuff.
and the wind up bird chronicles is great too. and hard boiled wonderland and the end of the world. that is great!! though wild sheep chase is so good.i loved that book. those ears. ooooh 😀 you know its part of a trilogy ? but they didnt translate the first too parts.. 🙁

and speaking short stories. raymond carver is nice. murakami translated him and was inspired. if not to say rewrote some stories.

Hmm. On second thought maybe not. But anyway, I wish I could read them!

When I finish these three Murakami books & take them back to the library I'll check & see what else they have of his - I'm pretty sure they have at least 2-3 more, but can't remember the titles.

Most of them are either a Trilogy, Series, or a Saga.

I like to read and I've read many books. I usually do everything in obsessive bursts. I'll be real into novels for a few months, then I lose interest and switch to anime for a while then switch to gaming or whatever other hobby, etc...

I haven't read anything lately though, (manga is the current the obsession, though games are creeping in), the last thing I tried to read was The Davinci Code, but I lost interest in it. It's not really my kind of book and I didn't get far into it at all. My favorite genre is probably classic sci-fi stuff like Asimov's Robot and Foundation books and Herbert's Dune series. I like a little psychological and philosophical stuff mixed in the stories and I thought both those series had a good balance.

I also like fantasy. I read The Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy. They were good but I honestly think they're a little overrated. Personally, I think Tolkien had a tendency to be a tad long winded and over-descriptive at times. I liked Anne Rice's vampire books for a while but I eventually got tired of them. When Lestat wasn't the main character I just didn't really care. I've also read and enjoyed all the Harry Potter books.

If I had to choose only one, gun to my head all time favorite book, I'd have to give it to Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo. Great story.

Oh yeah, Harry potter is good.

well gonna put my post betweent the conversation 🙂 well my favorite books are mostly fantasy but i read some others too well from fantasy ive read forgotten realms and dragonlance and everything like them (have read the nearby library empty of all fantasy and most action and war literature that im interested of you could say im fanatic about a book i like i read the lord of the rings in about 2 days and eny book that has less than 300 pages is done in about 2 hours

I have to say I'm a huge fan of the "Wheel of Time" and "Dark Tower" series. Also "Romance of Three Kingdoms" is another favourite of mine.

dunno i just pick the book and start reading and it just is finished theres a bad side to that i run out of books too quickly
ps. lord of the rings was kinda irritating to read because the text was so small
maybe smaller than this
ps. it must be beacause ive read books since iwas 10 that i read so fast (and you could say its a wierd talent or something like that 🙂 )
