Artsy Fantasy

I'm looking for, for lack of a better way of describing it, sort of artsy fantasy series.
When I say this, I mean in the vein of series like Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku, Coo no Sekai, Kono Sekai no Owari e no Tabi, etc.
Anime would also be welcomed (good examples would be Kigeki and The Diary of Tortov Roddle).
I'm really not sure how much of this exists, so something a little more like Mushishi would also be acceptable. Demographics and the like are irrelevant, I'm not picky on that count.
All suggestions are appreciated, although I would prefer if you checked my reading/complete list prior to posting (I'm certain that nothing I would place in this category is sitting on my on-hold/unfinished list).
edit: Apparently my certainty was slightly flawed, but I have double checked and now remedied the situation. There are no series of this sort on any of those lists.
Thanks in advance.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Cren,
You've probably seen/read most stuff I would normally recommend.
How about Windy Tales (anime)... it sorta fits.

How about Tegami Bachi?
That's actually another decent example, though it has a slightly different tone that what I'm looking for. Still fits in the description well though.
I put it on hold to wait for more scanlations earlier this week, and I had forgotten, but thank you, I'll do another run through to make sure there are none on my non-public lists (I keep them non-public just to avoid a little bit of conflict, since a presence on one of those list is somewhat offensive to the fans of that series.)
@gan: Not yet, but I actually have that sitting in my "to watch" folder. I've heard that it's good.
From what I understand of it, that is in the realm of what I was talking about though, so thanks for reminding me. It's more about the environment that anything else, and I tried to give somewhat varied examples to represent that.

Kinda hard request, eh? 🤣
Mimia hime
Ryuuguuden - Maybe, kinda stretched though.
Zenmaijikake no Tina - It's shoujo, but I think it quite fits.

The hard ones are the only ones worth asking for, at least as far as I'm concerned 🤣
Mimia sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I'll try Ryuuguuden as well. Thanks.
edit: Tina works as well, thanks. Shoujo's perfectly fine, so please don't hesitate because of that sort of thing, I just read mostly seinen and as a result my examples end up skewed that way -_-;;.

Mononoke is an okay example. It's the kind of the "more like Mushishi" idea I also asked for. More supernatural than fantasy, if you will, although it does certainly have quite an artistic statement. Quite good, either way, I rate the anime very highly.
Karas is a little bit of a stretch for this request, but it's decent. From a general standpoint I'm not much of an action fan.

I think Robot has some of it too.
Fuan no Tane is good. ¯(O_o)/¯
I'm just aiming in the dark here. 🤣

Maybe Tengujin would fit. Yumeka sumomo writes good stuff...
Dangu- maybe.
Atrocious Fairy Tales for Adults? 🙄
Yeah...
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.
Nah, Dangu doesn't fit... Although very good.

Kinda hard to say, but I'd recommend Fairy Cube. The description here doesn't say much about the story, so don't get discouraged only but this, at least read the users reviews as well.

@Doc: Read Dokebi Bride, not really what I'm asking for. Same goes for Fuan no Tane, although both are decent series.
I'll take a look at Priest and Robot anyway though.
@NS: Again, not really sure if those fit the request. I'll take a look anyway though.
(Atrocious is already on my list, but I haven't gotten around to it yet).
@KittyTeea: I'll take a look. I can't really grasp whether or not this is what I'm looking for, but it sounds interesting enough to read anyway.
So thank all of you for your suggestions. This request is for some really obscure stuff, it seems, so these sort of suggestions are more what I expected (I was honestly shocked when tsuto pulled that many out).

Wow, you've the exact same tastes as I do... I love Coo's World and Journey To the End of the World (pity Mangascreener halted scanlation of both of them), Mushishi (bought volume 6 yesterday), and I've also watched Kigeki and Tortov (I met a German guy playing a barrel organ that was the splitting image of Tortov).
Now, down to the topic at hand. Your request is quite specific, but I like a challenge;
King of Bandit Jing/Ou-dorobou Jing
Yume no Akichi
The Sea Monster's Children
Petshop of Horrors
I feel as if I'm missing out on a few other recommendations...
As for anime, Kino's Journey has often been favourably compared to Mushishi. Each episode has a self-contained story, and the pace is relatively slow and easygoing.

Hmm...how about:
+Anima
Asklepios
Monster Soul -maybe?..
Didn't see those on your lists.
I'll post more if I remember some.
