This week's poll was suggested by docdesanta. Back in May, we found out that more of you prefer tea over coffee. So what tea, specifically?

You can submit poll ideas here
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Economists say the value of a single human life is $10 million USD. Is this...
Choices:
Too high - votes: 944 (39.7%)
Too low - votes: 1067 (44.9%)
Just right - votes: 367 (15.4%)
There were 2378 total votes.
The poll ended: October 1st, 2022 11:09am PDT

Are all lives equal?

My favorite is Earl Grey Blue flower (it's black tea with bergamot and corn flower.)
I also like white tea and oolong, oolong is hard to get.
Ceylon is also a nice black tea.

An option for people that only drink coffee would be recommended.

Can't go wrong with herbal tea. Spearmint, rosehip, ginger, chamomile, Labrador, and many more. Second place goes to oolong.

I thought "Chai" just means "Tea" in some countries, due to different spelling of the Chinese hieroglyph. Or not?

Technically yes, but things happen when you cross cultures and languages. Like when an English speaker says they want salsa, they generally mean that tomato mixture you eat with tortilla chips and such. But in Spanish it literally just means sauce. In this case, chai refers to the spiced tea drink, and yeah the word does literally just mean tea. There is a word for this in linguistics, but I can't remember it

Green tea. One thing I gotta get off my chest though, I don't like when people try to overcomplicate green tea. "The temperature can't be too high" "Can't let it oversteep" it's hot leaf water, it'll be fine. Maybe I'm biased because I've been drinking a pitcher of green leaf water every day since I was a kid, but like, half the time whenever I see people complain about the taste and tannins, it's cause they're using shit tea in a bag. Quality aside, that's too much leaves for a single cup. Of course it's going to be too bitter. Break open that bag, throw maybe half into a pitcher, and pour hot water. You got enough tea to last you a day. And if you really don't want lukewarm tea later, just pour more hot water in.

Thanks for this tip! I've never thought to question how much tea is in a tea bag. You'd think manufacturers would know the right ratios for the best taste but I guess not.

On the rare occasion I drink something other than bottled water or a sugar-free drink powder you mix with water, I do like a decent English Breakfast or Irish Breakfast tea if I had to choose. I also enjoy a coffee substitute called Pero they sell in the US, which is a blend of grains (Barley, Malted Barley, Chicory, Rye) roasted and ground. It tastes coffee like but not as strong and you just add water. It's great mixed with milk and a bit a chocolate malt powder.

For me, fave would be rooibos so.. red tea.

But honestly I also quite like nice black tea with milk, matcha, green tea in general, fruit infusions (ideally fruit/herbal combinations) and bubble tea.

Black tea with milk in the morning. Oolong or white tea in the afternoon. Herbal tea or decaf tea at night.
