Hands down one of the best yaoi mangas out there (and my personal favorite) is Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai . Period. In fact, I recommend pretty much anything by Yoneda Kou, she's my favorite mangaka.

There's also Dog Style by Motoni Modoru, Koujitsusei no Tobira and Non Tea Room by Shoowa, Lucky Number 13 by Yamamoto Kotetsuko, and Konbini-kun by Junko as added favorites.

(I also have a soft spot for Yume Musubi Koi Musubi by Sakuragi Yaya because I love tsundere semes.)

🙂

My favorite is Sakura Gari, but I also love Kinpeibai Kinden Honoo no Kuchizuke, Under Grand Hotel, Shisei no Otoko, Bannin (first story and last story), Akiyama-kun, Kusatta Rasen, Dokunoaji, and Neo Arcadia - Yami ni Saku Niji (mostly just for the art on that one). I'm sure there's more I really like, but I can't think of any at the moment.

And seconding Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. Definitely my favorite unfinished manga.

My top three is:

  1. Doushitemo Furetakunai
  2. Akiyama-kun
  3. Slow Starter (ICHIKAWA Kei) which is BL.

I also love Giglio by Inariya Fusanosuke and anything by Hidaka Shoko.
I guess these are pretty known though. For something perhaps a little less known (from my perspective) I would say Koizumi Kiyo (I adore Karada Meate de Warui ka)
