The anime is pretty old imo. And yea, the anime focuses more on the band rather than his and airi's or w/e's relationship.

I would like to see Dear as well as Watashi no Ookami-san (the story is short but has a lot of room for adaptation and improvement) made into anime.

I'm definitely surprised that Hana Kimi isn't an anime yet. Whether or not that's a good thing, I don't know. I don't want to see it butchered. D:

It's kind of surprising that Love Monster hasn't been turned into an anime yet. (Seemed kind of popular to some people, so I was afraid that might happen.) Hopefully it doesn't get turned into an anime, though. I personally find it a bit too cliche. So many other shoujo manga I would love to see turned into an anime.

...though I can't think of any right now. Maybe Cat Street? I thought it was a great manga.

I would love to see Beauty Pop made into an anime. And like everyone else, I'm baffled that Hana-Kimi never had an anime, though I think since there are so many live action adaptations already...

Now that Skip Beat is an anime, I'm in heaven. But I hope there's a second season or something, cause I don't think 25 episodes will cover the manga that's already out. And I'd love to see a new Nakahara Aya manga become anime.

What else... let's see...

Shinshi Doumei Cross would be a good one. A second season of Ouran High School Host Club would make me do multiple fan-girl squeals-- I miss Kyouya's scheming self. Uwasa no Midori-kun would be an interesting anime. Hmm... PxP would make a cute OVA.

i dont feel like reading this entire thread, so pardon me if i repeat stuff (also, im not as much of an anime fan, so gomen nasai if i list something that had an ova ten years ago or something like that):

• Hana to Akuma
• anything by SUZUKI Julietta
• Kaze Hikaru
• Penguin Revolution
• Honey Hunt (assuming it doesn't turn too smutty, which it may given the manga-ka)
• The One (okay, i know this is actually a manhua, but w/e)
• Charming Junkie (wow, i like entertainment-industry-related mangas, can you tell? lol)
• ANDOU Natsumi's series are hella cute, but might get annoying to watch... then again the Fruits Basket anime wasn't too bad & i'd say they're comparably uber-sweet
• A YOKOYAMA Mayumi work would be very entertaining, but i don't know if many have enough material to support an anime series just yet. Give 'em time...
• Immortal Rain needs more love

• hmmm, i also think Millennium Snow would be interesting to see animated, but they'd either have to make it an OVA or make up their own plot considering it's only 2 volumes (crossing fingers that HATORI Bisco will go back to finish it)
• I'm gonna throw in anything from FUJIEDA Toru, just 'cuz i love her artwork... special mention to my fave Shibutani-kun Tomo no Kai as it's crazy awesome
• Tokyo Crazy Paradise.... c'mon, NAKAMURA Yoshiki's other works need attention too
• Anything by CLAMP that hasn't been animated already, particularly Clover (Clamp) (as an OVA.... and an abstract one at that)
• O.O I'd love to see YUKI Kaori's works come to life..... but that may be too disturbing for most viewers lol
• Speaking of disturbing... 7 Seeds kinda reminds me of LOST, which is wicked popular here (in the US).... it would definitely keep 'em on the edge of their seats ok, so it's not listed as "shoujo" per se on this site, but it's serialized in a shoujo magazine & the artwork's def. shoujo-ish
• (wow i love disturbing stuff...) MIZUSHIRO Setona's art is definitely not my favorite but (most of) her stories are very intriguing, especially After School Nightmare...but that could just be me
• I dunno how much of OBANA Miho's work has been turned into an anime (i remember seeing Kodocha), but her stuff's usually cute-looking with mature themes, which is the type of manga & anime i love, personally
• OH! and ok, so i've only read one scanlated chapter so far (love to aerandria), but i can already tell that Kimi wa Boku no Toriko Nare is gonna be awesome and would = amazing anime
• just for sh!ts & giggles: a Yoru Made Matenai OVA. 'Cuz who doesn't love a little shotacon?

They already did POPS in the '90's, so I don't see why they can't do another Ikuemi Ryo manga (something along the lines of Kano Hito Ya Tsuki). But of course, these sorts of family-oriented shoujo's are less likely to make it on tv nowadays as they did in the late '90s, early '00's. Maybe an OVA would do a la Massugu ni Ikou.

I also think George Asakura's Oboreru Knife would work too, though my stomache churns thinking about how her artwork would be adapted to anime.

Or maybe even Sunadokei, by Hinako Ashihara. They already did a live-action film and tv series. Why not an anime?

Shanimuni go, by Ragawa Marimo, animated would bring me many tears of glee. They already animated Akachan to Boku, so I don't see why not this one. I honestly do prefer it over Prince of Tennis now that I had a chance to read some of the latter... (sorry Starlight Dreams xD )

Or maybe even Jelly Beans, by Moyocco Anno (It was pretty entertaining.)
